Annual Pass Question

Hey everyone. I apologize in advance if this has been asked before. My dad and I will be going to DTD on July 14th, DCA the 15th and 16th and then DL the 17th to the 20th. I'll be buying our tickets through Tickets at Work as I did last year. My question is can I upgrade to a deluxe pass when I go to the ticket booth on the 14th and if so do I have to make an additional down payment or will the ticket I bought be used as the down payment? Thanks everyone!!

Deluxe is blocked on the 17th and 18th. If you plan to go those days you'll have to wait until the 18th to upgrade. The minimum down payment is the equivalent of a 1 day, 1 park ticket. So as long as the ticket you're upgrading has a value that's equal to or more then it will for a down payment.

Along those same lines .... we have 5 day PK tickets for our visit in November. Am I able to upgrade those to AP's? If so, when do I have to upgrade them by? Before the last day of the ticket is used? How much is an AP?

We will decide once we are there whether or not we will want to go back October 2016 to partake in Halloween activities.

Thanks SMD. I didn't even think to look at the blackout dates during our trip I only looked at the ones in the future oops.

We just did this a couple weeks ago too. We had 5 day park hoppers and we had to upgrade before the end of our 5th day. The AP starts on the first day of the 5 day ticket so if you start using the ticket on July 15th the AP will expire on July 15th of the following year. We were given the price we paid for the ticket (we bought through Get Away Today and it was $10 less than gate price) toward the AP and then had to pay the difference. I am not from California so the payment plan is not an option for me so I can't comment on whether they will consider the value of the park hopper as your down payment. You can always ask when you pick up the park hopper ticket - they will give you all the details for upgrading.

I have a few questions about this too... If we start using our park hopper tickets on Sept. 12, 2015 and then upgrade to AP, is our last day to use the AP 9/11/16 or 9/12/16?

If we upgrade on a block-out day, can we go in/out for the rest of the day or do we loose that privilege once we upgrade?

If you turn in your park hopper for a pass on the 12th your last day should be 9/12/16

The last day is 9/12/16 (unless it's a blockout). You have to tell them that you intend to go back in the park after you upgrade. They have to print you a paper pass that you need to show each time you hop. You can upgrade the morning of the blockout day so that you can start getting the dining and merch discounts right away. If staying offsite you'll lose any unused MM days when upgrading.

If you turn in your park hopper for a pass on the 12th your last day should be 9/12/16

For upgrades it's the day you first used your ticket, not the day you upgrade.

Thank you! We've never done AP's before but I'm hoping it will work out this year. I'm trying to plan around school schedules to maximize our use. It helps to understand the details of how it works.
