If I purchase an annual pass online when does it officially start? Is it the day I link it to MDE, the day I use it to start booking FP+ or the day I use it to actually enter the park? Thanks for any/all insights!!

If you pre-purchase an AP, you have to stop at either a Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations Location at WDW to exchange for the actual pass. The clock starts ticking as soon as the CM hands you the actual pass.

It's the date of actual first usE to enter the parks.

Sorry, that's not correct for APs. That just the case for regular tickets.

Correct.

That is true. I saw the OP's choices and didnt even think about turning in the voucher for the AP and not actually entering the park (we always do both at the same time so didn't separate them in my head). Thanks for clarifying my response.

Thanks for the info. We are contemplating a trip in early June of this year and another in late April of next year. I'm hoping that if I purchased the tickets in time to make my 60 day FP when my window opens in early April of this year that they will still be good in late April/May of next year

Since the early-purchased AP won't activate until you are at WDW to do so, your plans for those trip dates will be just fine.
