Annual Pass question

On the UO website the non-resident annual passes are $185. Does that give you access to BOTH PARKS and does that allow you to park hop in the same day from one park to another?

Or am I not seeing the right price for a both park pass?

I see the Florida resident pass is like $160 something then the non-resident pass is $180 something.

I am just confused about what the pass includes.

I also see 3 levels of pass from the basic pass with blackout dates to the Premier pass with no blackout dates.

TIA for your responses.

What I see here is that the Power Pass is not available for non-residents. The cheapest for non-residents is the Preferred Pass which is $259.99. That's what we have and we can hop as much as we want.

I read this as being the Power Pass is not available for the 12 month payment plan. I'm pretty sure a non Florida resident can purchase one. The site will let me put them in my cart.

We plan on buying a Power Pass for DH and DD and a Preferred Pass for me to get the discounts for our May trip.

I clicked on the link that says non-resident annual passes and this is the page I get http://www.universalorlando.com/Theme-Park-Tickets/Annual-Passes/Non-FL-Annual-Passes.aspx

It shows the non-resident power pass as $185. It lets me add it to my cart so it is available for purchase for non-residents for $185. I was just wanting to know if that lets you go to both parks and park hop but it does say park to park unlimited WITH blackout dates.

SO I guess I answered my own question by just reading the page more carefully.

I think we are going to up grade to annual passes when we get there because we already paid $115 for the 2 day 1 park tickets. It will only cost $70 per person to get the annual pass. Then we can come back in October for FREE and next January for FREE. =)

Just remember...it doesn't include any discounts on food/merchandise and does not include parking at the garage...it basically only includes park admission. You might want to consider upgrading one of the tickets to the Preferred AP so you CAN get the discounts and free parking.

That's a good idea. It will only cost more to upgrade one of the tickets to the medium level pass and one can be turned into the basic pass. Thanks. =)

That's exactly what we're doing for our May trip. We're hoping for an additional trip in either a September/October so the passes make it very affordable if you break it down in to 2 or 3 trips!

It makes sense to purchase one of the Preferred passes so we can get all the discounts but still save money on the other passes since the blackout dates don't apply to when we travel anyway.

Can Canadians purchase the Power Pass?

I purchased a Preferred Annual Pass for myself (for the on-site hotel discount) but got my DD13 a 3Day PTP ticket for our March trip... can I upgrade it to Power Pass at the park? I didn't know regular tickets could be upgraded to annual passes! It would be great if we can go again in the summer and/or December!

Thanks!

you can upgrade at guest services.

you would pay the difference between the 2.

yes, regular tickets can be upgraded to the passes.
