My son is going to Disney with some of his friends for spring break. We are DVC members and I was wondering if he can purchase his discounted annual pass without me being there?

Call member services.

Unless he's on the account my guess is no, not without you as he'd have no way to prove he's part of a DVC family. Work around: I believe you can purchase it online through the member site - you'll be mailed a voucher and he can redeem that for his pass. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The problem you might run into is I'm not sure how fast Disney ships those vouchers out. Spring break is approaching fast. Another work around: I believe might also be possible to have the vouchers available for pickup... but that usually requires the purchaser's ID / credit card with most companies.

Seems like you still have to show your DVC card at pickup. Maybe I'm just imagining that.

As long as he has a blue card, and some government issued id that says he lives at the address on the DVC account he should be good.

I don't believe he needs to show the ID if he is younger than, I think, 10. But I suspect that isn't the case.

I think he just needs the blue DVC card, and an ID that shows his address is the same as on the account.

I had teenagers with me and they didn't have to show anything but thats cause I was there.

I just had to do this. My sons met my inlaws today for ESPN weekend. I called MS about 3 weeks ago. I was able to purchase the AP's at a discount for my kids over the phone. I received a will call number. They had to pick up the passes at any Guest Services.
It seems to have worked ok, as I just talked to my son and he is watching Shawn Johnson under the Big Hat at DHS.

Can't you just call and order the AP voucher for him & have it waiting at will call or something?:confused3 Hummm... He probably needs to have one of the blue member cards.

I know that my son and his A&M aggie buddies are going to have a wonderful time!
