Do you think that the APs they sent me will work? I'm just curious cause they sent them to me after I put the deposit down, but we cancelled the wedding.

I was wondering if you activated them (like for a planning session or something). If you activated them, they are probably still good.

If you didn't, they probably overlooked "removing" them from the system and they are probably still good.

we activated ours at our planning session and cancelled later. They worked up until last week when they expired. :sad2:

The depost that is non-refundable more than covers the cost of the 2 AP's, so more than likely they will work.

Does anyone know if they give ap's to cast members too? I'm a cm and I really doubt they'll throw in that added bonus... anyone know?

Nope they dont. I tried to talk my SM into giving me an annual pass to the water parks but it didnt happen. Never hurts to ask ;)

well,in my opinion, being a past cm myself, you don't get nearly the discount on your dftw that you should get, so i would think that you should get ap's, but since you already work there, and don't really need the ap's, they should compensate you in other ways!!!

Oh well. That's too bad. I was hoping I could give it to my parents or my maid of honor. I guess I'll still have to walk to the front of the park to get them in :(

I concur ;)

wait a minute...you can't tell me that they BARELY give you a discount on your wedding, then you have to surpass the ap's??? THAT IS PREPOSTUROUS (SP-in my rage). AMAZING. simply amazing.

Yeah it's no good.

Lynn-I think your APs might still work. Just try them out next time you're at Disney.

Lynn5700, I'm sorry to hear that you had to cancel your Fairy Tale Wedding. The two Annual Pass certificates were given to you because you were having a wedding in Walt Disney World. Since you are no longer doing so, it only seems right that they should be returned to Disney.

Again, I'm sorry to hear that you're not having a FTW. Perhaps at some point in the future, you would consider renewing your vows in either WDW or Disneyland. Lots of couples here on the Dis have done so. It's just something to file away in the back of your mind until the time is right. ;)

Sorry to crash the thread here, but I just wanted to clarify - do you get the annual passes on putting down your deposit and then you can activate them any time after this?

Once you get a signed contract back they are normally with that. we just got ours lastweek.

We are going to activate them on our planning session trip

Cool thanks,
It's a shame we will probably only get the one trip use out of them with us not having a planning trip.
You never know though!

We think we will only get one trip out of ours, but it will be a 3 week trip! :cool1:

I am trying very hard to talk DH into going back the following April as both my DD's are away on school trips( one to Grand Canyon and the other to south africa) So I don't feel to guilty! :)

Meryll83 - I thought that too but we went 3 timesthe planning session in May , the wedding in Nov and then again in May just before they expired....hahaha - not sure how we crammed it all in but it worked

Maybe we could squeeze in a cheapy last minute off site deal before they expire the following year, seems a shame to only use them once!

So is it at the 8/12 month mark when you sign your contract, they arrive then with the contract you need to sign? Or after you've signed they arrive seperately?
This isn't an official published thing is it, so has every couple gotten them for a long time now? Do you need to mention it at all to the planner or will you automatically get sent them? I suppose it's something they could withdraw at any time...
I'm just trying to figure out whether to incorporate the price of passes into our budget just in case!

We signed our contract and then when we got the contract back after they signed it then it was with that and we got luggage labels as well
