Paging Cheshire Figment! ;)

I looked in the ticket sticky and I couldn't find anything about this... my florida resident annual pass is expiring on the 22nd. I'd like to go to a monthly payment plan with it instead of all at once, can I do that when I renew? And is the 80-whatever down payment still due for that when I renew or with it being a renewal is it just the first month's payment?

We have the monthly payment plan for Sea World so I thought this would be easier, but having to renew it instead of just buy new made me come up with questions! :rotfl:

Thanks for your help in advance. :thumbsup2

I was sent a postcard saying my Seasonal pass is coming due and telling us about the new monthly option,I believe you can renew it without the $87 down payment as the postcard says you can pay $20.51 a month for twelve months which is the renewal price without a down payment.I've seen the Disney website has a new pass being around $15-$16 with the down payment. The postcard did say you can renew it online or at a theme park ticket window.I think if you're renewing you can still opt to pay the down to lower the payment.I volunteered early this year so I have the Give a Day voucher which I plan to use as a down and with the renewal price I think my monthly payment will be in the $13-$14 range.I'll be there Wednesday through Friday since the last day to use the vouchers is the 15th.I also have the Sea World/Busch parks with EZ Pay,the best thing about using EZ Pay for those parks is that you keep getting billed at the price when you first got the pass,so as long as you make your payments they don't raise the prices, for example I have the Platinum pass and pay $12 a month which are 2003 prices, right now that pass is like $18 a month.

Definitely good to know thank you! I wonder if you can choose to pay it off early like you can with Sea World's? Not that I would but you never know when you might come into some money! :rotfl: ;)

Post #22 of the sticky covers Monthly Purchase Plan and includes the following statement
Qualifying Annual Passes may be renewed at WDW. For any AP renewal there is no down payment requirement. And as any other renewal of an AP, you may upgrade or downgrade at the renewal price.
And also it is possible/allowable to pay off a contract early.

Can anyone shed light on why this feature is only available to FL Residents? :confused3

If the other major Theme Parks (US/SW) can offer it to everyone why can't WDW?

So if we have the GAD and plan to renew a FL AP would the GAD still be applied to the cost to renew and then monthly payments based on the remaining balance?

Yes that's what I'm doing when I go this week.I already called and confirmed that you would use the GAD voucher as a down and then get charged the first monthly payment right away or the next day.Earlier posts also confirmed that if you're renewing you don't need a down but if they're going to lower the cost of the pass $87 using the voucher then that's a really good deal.Remember that the last day to use the GAD voucher is Dec. 15th.

Yes, you can apply the GAD Voucher/Ticket at full value toward a renewal AP. Juct be sure you do this no later than December 15; all GAD vouchers expire that day.

Renewed my pass this past Wednesday using the Fl resident monthly payment plan, using the Give A Day voucher as a down as well as having the renewal discount,it came out to like $13.32/mo for the seasonal pass.
