Annual Pass is it worth it ?

We have been AP members for the last three years, and this year we're upping to the Premium AP. It is totally worth it! You can go to any park, any day and you don't feel like you have to rush to get your money's worth! Being a local, we pop in for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, enjoy the Passholder Special Events and will now be able to use the Water Parks, Disney Quest and maybe even catch a game or two at Wide World of Sports. It gives you flexibility, and that is a beautiful thing.

We bought our APs in November, 2004. We spent 6 days in the park on that trip.

We will be returning in April for 4-5 days in the parks for Spring Break.

August will see another 7 days in the park.

I would love to squeeze in an early November trip, but not sure that's in the cards. Even without, we will have 17-18 days on this AP.

Much cheaper than buying 2 10 day non expiring tickets.

How does this work?
It seems you are able to use your AP for 17-18 months(Nov. 2004-Apr. 2006)

When you buy a Pass do you get all the info with it, Dining Discounts + Shopping Discounts all that sort of stuff ?

Okay, I believe y'all but how do I make DH believe me :confused3 ? I would love to visit more then once a year, but we live in El Paso and it's pricey just to get to FL. We do stay at WDW for 8-10 days when we do go though. I like to be able to visit the parks, even just in the evening, every day. I think it might be worth it just to get the discounted AP. I'll have to work some #'s.

You can get the info. or purchase the dining cards at disneyworld.com/passholder. Dining cards can only be purchased online or over the phone. Don't forget that Owners get a discount on APs!!

I think they meant they originally purchased their AP in November 2004 and then renewed it when it expired in Nov 2005. The AP is valid 1 year and 1 day from the date it is first used.

One other good think about the AP is the discounts, especially for those non-DVC stays. We could rent out our points one year and get the AP rate over at AKL for a change... or we could stay over at POR or CSR, etc during the weekends to get the most "value" out of our points.

I do, however, agree with the others who say it can cost you more money! I'm already thinking I could squeeze in a short fourth trip, book my stay at AKL (because it would be weekend plus a few days) before my AP and DDE expire!

I don't intend to renew the AP when it expires though, I'll end up waiting until right before we go again since it will be about 8-10 months before we go back after this AP expires. I just hope the DVC AP discount is still available!
