Hey ya'll!

Crisi, Haunted Mansion Freak, Disneymom, plamogirl, stackey, beth, cheapmom and numerous others...

I have called WDW and they said the $199.00 hotel rooms (WL and AK) standard rooms will be discounted to $114.00 during their value season if you have an annual pass for WDW!

I would like to share this information with others. We also get discounts for EPCOT lunches (10%) Horseback riding at FW (15%) and boating (15%), Planet Hollywood (10%), circus solei (sp) a whooping 25 percent! These are just a few thing you get discounts for!

Did they mention when the code will be available?

They told us to book the room now for value season (jan-feb 11th) then it would be charged to our charge card $199.00 plus tax. When we receive the AP news letter she stated that is when they will post I guess a code they I would have to call WDW and give them the code and they will adjust the rate.

HTH..

Thanks for the info.. Which resort did you chose? I've stayed at AKL on 2 different trips and loved it, but am anxious to try WL.:D

Hi Jeff!
We were looking at the AK! It really looked very nice and so did the pool. WDW considers this hotel in the deluxe category...The rooms look very nice! If you go to all ears . com you can see all the resort photos (exterior and interior).

So your experience with AK was nice?? How did you get to the parks? bus??

(Oh, GEEZ, I hit the wrong button and I have a comment to you as a New Discussion on this board!) I'm so sorry! Hopefully they'll delete it. I can't believe I did that.

thanks!

That's ok.:D Yes we really enjoyed AKL, it's a beautiful resort. We used the Disney bus transportation the entire trip, our longest wait was about 10 mins. at DTD- no big deal:D

They also say if you have say a family of five...you only need ONE annual pass holder for the family. So that might be worth it for some people.

Will they most likely apply AP rates for Values as well? Is that $49/night?

Call WDW and see what they say....I just asked about the delux resorts. The should be able to discount the value hotels also. POP Century looks like a nice value hotel, the rooms look nice anyway. You can see all the room etc at all ears . com

If anyone knows....what are the dates and the code for the discount for Cirque?? Thanks in advance.

If you go to the official WDW website and click on annual pass holder benefits, it will give you a whole list of things that the bearer is entititled to. When I called about Circus Solei (sp) they said to call back 14 days prior to arrival to make the reservation so I can get the 25 % off...

I know as a fact it counts toward the WL. The best thing I did was call disney and find out what the annual pass rate are for the resort you are interested in....

Another thing annual pass holders get FREE parking at the parks that's a saving of $8 daily!

If you're looking for an AP rate during a certain month, you may want to an eye on the resort board. As soon as they're released, someone will post the code. (or check mousesavers)

Last September there weren't any AP rates available. That may have been due to the huge success of the 4 for 7 deal. They may not block a full month again, but it's possible.

When the AP rates are released, they may not be available for all resorts or all views.

You may be able to get AP rates during peak season. I believe AP rates were out during our Easter trip.

If you're a new AP holder, you won't get a newsletter until you activate your AP.

How do you activate your ap? I thought they would just automatically send you a newletter....I guess not...

Thanks for your other tips as well...Let me know when you get a chance about the activiation..

thanks!

If you purchase an AP voucher from the Disney Store or from the Disney website, you need to go to Guest Relations at any park or in Downtown Disney. They will exchange the voucher for the actual AP. I did mine at MGM with no problems.

If you purchase one at the Disney Store in Orlando International Airport, it will already be an activated AP. The same is true if you buy the AP right at Guest Relations in WDW.

I'm not sure what the case in in the Welcome Center in Ocala or if they even offer APs there.

I'm still waiting for the August Mickey Monitor. If you do a Google search, you will find a few websites that post the actual newsletter.

The AP discounts are sometimes really awesome. I saved enough off the price of my room at the BC to actually pay for the pass and more. We only needed my AP to get the discount. I was even able to book a room for my DB and his family using my AP (we were there at the same time, AP holder must be there at check in). So, one AP took care of a discount in lodging for 8 people. Not bad!

If I activated my AP in June, will I get the Mickey Monitor for August, or will I wait for the next issue after that?

The rates the cm gave you are the ones typical in the past for January. But be aware that there is no guarantee that they will be available and those will be the rates. Sounds like the cm presented it as a sure thing, it's not. That's why there's a long thread on the resorts board talking about when fall AP rates will come out. January is a slow month and there will likely be AP rates but I had a reservation for last September (2003) and no AP or code rates ever came out.

Really? I had no idea! Thanks for the heads up! Yea, we called and theys said $199.00 rooms would be $114.00 during the low season....Thanks for your suggestions and tips I'll check the resort board out and see what they say..
