Annual Pass Help Please

With the ticket rate increase, I'm considering getting one annual pass and then ticket hoppers for the rest of the family. The annual pass would just be for the discounts since, unfortunately, we won't be visiting Disneyland again within the year.

Being that this is our 10th wedding anniversary, I would dearly love to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, but let's just say it is going to take a LOT of pixie dust to make that happen! We'll have a wonderful time no matter where we stay, but the Disneyland Hotel would be extra special.

At any rate, could someone with an AP check the rates for me from September 10-17. We are two adults and two children--and I suspect we're looking at either a standard or a standard view room...I'm not quite sure what the difference is, but I think those are the bottom two room types, right?

Also, with one AP, the person with the AP can pay the bill (and thus get the discount) at character meals even if the other guests at the meal don't have annual passes, right?

Oh and one more question--if we were blessed enough to get a PIN code in the mail, can you combine a PIN code with an AP discount at the DLH?

Thank you for the help!
Sarah

As long as one person has the AP and pays for the whole party, then it's fine :)

From Sept. 10-17 the AP rate is $270 per night for the standard room, $293 per night for the view room at DLH.

Thank you so much for the information. Do you know about using a PIN code with the AP rate? (Not that I have one--just keeping my fingers crossed!)

I'm sorry I don't know as I've never been a lucky PIN recipient, but my instinct is that you can't combine discounts.

What to save some big bucks? Consider staying across the street on Harbour Ave at the Ramada Main Gate. Right now they are offering a huge discount on PREPAID NON REFUNDABLE NON Credit rates. So if you know for sure you are going, call them. I have booked rooms for the first week of November and December so that we can see both the Halloween and Christmas Decorations. Room rates were $75.00 a night plus tax, about $87.00 total for a one queen or two double bed room. Kings a bit higher, but not by much. Have fun.

I have read here that the truly good AP rates will not be posted yet for September. I think the rate above is probably just the standard 10% discount for AP holders? I have made a reservation off-site for October but I am holding out hope that as it gets closer there will be some deeper discounts to maybe stay on site. I plan on getting an AP and would do it sooner if I could get a room in the $190 range. We had a great deal at Grand Californian last year in the fall and just hope to get one again. If not, we will be fine offsite at $90 (per night avg on our 5 night reservation right now). I put a high value for an on-site stay, but double is pretty much my cutoff on a long stay. I checked into renting points for villas, but they were unavailable for our dates.

In general you can't combine promotions.

Though PIN codes are usually followed by a general promotion. And in either case the AP rate is better for rooms.
