Annual Pass for Multiple Families

We have three families going to Disney World this year (parents, sister's family and mine). We each have different accounts but are joined by family and friends. So I make all the dinner and FastPass reservations. My question is around an Annual Pass. We are going to purchase them online before the trip. Should I purchase all of them and can I distribute the one transaction so that each family can link their passes? Or does each family have to purchase their own annual passes. I guess what I'm asking do we get one certificate number to link to a person or do I get one for each person?

Sorry for the question, but I just haven't purchased annual passes online and want to get it done before our FastPass window opens.

I don't quite understand your question.

Each AP (certificate) will be purchased individually and each will have it's own unique number.
(Just like regular tickets.)

If you like, you can certainly buy as many AP certificates as you like and "distribute" each of them to individuals who are connected to your MDX account.

I think you answered my question. I was wondering if I could purchase let's say 10 passes and give out the certificate numbers to each family. Or would the system just email me one number that was associated with my account and could only be used by me. Meaning it was locked to my account and could only be used by those in my immediate family.

Based on your response, I will get 10 numbers that I can associate a few to my individual family and then give a few to my sister to associate for hers.

Also, if you are buying them to get a DVC discount for everyone, that won’t work.

Thanks everyone for the concerns. But it is my family, we do trips all the time so coordination of payment has been handled many times in the past.

Also, I wish I could get a discount. But this is more of a coordination thing. It is easier as I’m the planner for the group. I just wanted to make sure that I could do it and not mess anything up. It is harder to have each individual group make the purchase and assure the timing is right. It is easier when I do it.
