Annual pass for children question

Firstly, everyone in this scenario are Florida residents.

We're taking our grandchildren to Disney. They don't currently have passes. Their mom is going to buy them online, but will we be able to pick them up at the park? Even though we are annual passholders, I don't remember if there is any option to allow someone other than the purchaser to pick up the passes.

Right now Disney's website is not cooperating with me, so I can't even go through the to the check out process and find out. I know when we have picked up our passes we've had to have our photo ID and the card that we charged the passes on. Is there an exception to this for children traveling with other family members?

Thanks, I figured I would get better answers here than trying to call Disney for a random answer that they'll make up on the spot.

I didn't have to show my card last week, I just had to show my ID and the purchase email, as I was the one picking it up for myself.....but maybe somebody else has more detailed info? Are these grandchildren old enough to have ID? that would make it work....

The grandchildren are 4 and 8 - not old enough for ID. I can have their mom print out the email.

I don't know why they ask for the card it was charged on. For my daughter, that would be iffy anyway since she loses her debit card at least once a month. In all likelihood, she would have a different card for that account by the time they got there. :crazy2: She runs a multi-million dollar business, as well as the company that she owns, but can't keep track of her debit card for anything. :confused3

I’ve never had to show my credit card when picking up my AP. I don’t know how they could expect people to do that these days, since it seems like I am constantly being re-issued a new credit card due to a possibility of it being compromised. I print out the receipt, or now simply show them the bar code on my phone, and of course my ID.

They ask for the card so they can be sure it's not a fraudulent charge, of course.

Apparently not, since reading this thread they don't ask most people. And, as mentioned, new cards are issued so regularly that it can never be a sure thing people will have the same card anymore. Most people buy their APs far in advance of their trip. Since people have to prove their identity, this would not be the most appealing way for most thieves to use stolen card numbers. Disney even gets a fingerprint ...

I think my daughter is just going to drive down and spend the day, pick up the kids passes, and head home later. We've decided that's the most fool proof way to do things.

We are supposed to ask for the original credit card used for payment when redeeming a will call. However, if it’s not present, we can usually fill the will call anyway as long as someone has an ID that matches the order.

Make sure an adult who will be present at the time the order is picked up is listed as the pick-up contact person on the order and it’ll be fine.
