Is is true that there is an annual pass for both WDW and DL? If is is true, how much is the pass for DVC owners? Does it include water parks? What kind of perks are with this pass?

thank you for your replieshttp://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

There is a Premier pass for both parks that costs $700. It has all the benefits of the Premium DL AP & the Deluxe Premium AP at WDW including the Waterparks, etc. There is no DVC discount but it costs a lot less than the top AP for both resorts and is still less than the top DL AP & WDW AP that doesn't include the waterparks.

I understand the $700 is a savings over both a DL and WDW premium annual passes, but I am still annoyed that as a DVC member at both DL and WDW I can't get a discount of some type for the premiere pass!

This is something that can get to become a hot topic. I am on the side that this pass, which I do have abs just renewed at no discount, is a bargin at 700. The way I look at it is this. A DVC premium AP here at DL is 439. A DVC premium AP is close to 600. So no discount still saves me close to 350. I see no problem here.

Just plan for LOTS of trip that year.
By the end of our tickets, we will have 3 WDW and 1DL trip on this PP :) (around 19 WDW days and 6 DL days not bad for $700pp)
DH was convinced since I said I agree to not get another AP for next year if we could make tons of use of this one... :lmao:

What he didn't remember is that we already have DCL vacation planned for next year... :lmao: So I won't be too Disney deprived...

I was doing the math as we were coming home from DL last weekend, and we should get about 34 park days out of our Premier AP this year! I agree that it can be a heck of good deal. -- Suzanne

What does the actual ticket look like? Does it say Premier Pass? I'm wondering if we could buy them and not tell the kids about the DLR trip planned for later in the year.

Otherwise, I bet we could upgrade them at WDW on our last day before our trip to DLR. Then the kids wouldn't know... hehe.

It's a beige color and does say Premier Pass, along with Walt Disney World and Disneyland resort on the pass. I can scan mine if you want to see it.

It would be nice to get a discount, but we have been getting PAP's at WDW and Disneyland for years and this new pass is way cheaper than buying those two separately. Our Disneyland pass is over 400 bucks now, so even if we don't make it to WDW more than once with the pass, it is still cheaper to buy the premier. I can get all the benefits of the PAP WDW pass for less than half the price. (about 260 bucks)

WOW!
And I thought we did great with 25 days... 34 days is awesome!

Oh and as of now I think PP gets 20% merchandise discount at all parks and 15% food discount at DL (I think, but confirm before you get upset for not getting it :) ).

In some way, its not as impressive at it sounds. We were at the DL Hotel for the D23 Expo last September, which was an all day event. But we took the monorail in to Tomorrowland for lunch at Redd Rockets, so that counted as 1 of our days in the park! But I love having an AP so that we don't have to worry about wasting days on a multi-day pass! -- Suzanne

Agree that is is cheaper, but the point of a DVC discount is that it makes it cheaper than what someone without DVC would pay. It would be a simple perk to add to DVC for little cost (maybe $50?), as a percentage of APs sold, I bet there are not that many Premiere passes.

We will just have to disagree on this. I feel that this pass is geared towards DVC members anyway, so I think the discount is built in. Now I maybe wrong in my thinking but that is just my opinion.

Yes you are correct. You also get a 20% off merchandise at WDW.

Why do you think it is geared toward DVC members?

In my opinion, because I believe, a lot of DVC members will go to both resorts in a year if they can. Yes I maybe wrong, but that is just my opinion.
