Annual Pass Extension?

FYI..we planned to renew our passes when we were there on 12/14. Guest service informed us that DVC chose not to participate in the extension promotion so we could renew with the promotion at full price or use DVC discount and not get extension. We were kinda bummed. And also...I could be wrong....but doesn't the promotion end today?

DS10 and myself both renewed for 15 months with DVC.

The promo for 15 months on renewals run thru 8/31/2010.

our DVC APs expire 9/30/10. can we renew on 8/30/10 and get the 15 months (from 9/30/10), or do the passes have to have an expiration date prior to sept to receive the additional months?
tyia:)

You can renew early. We did that in December for my DH's A/P as we were there and it was convenient to do so.

The rules are the same for the DVC-discounted annual passes and the non-discounted annual passes.

Ask your question on the Theme Parks Forum - those who know the most about tickets hang out there. If you get an answer from Cheshire Figment, you can take it to the bank. :)

I just renewed our AP's last week (11/27/09 expired) - we have the passes till 2/27/11 which works out well b/c we can get our Easter trip 2010 and February Break trip 2011 all in one pass!

DH pointed out that the wording on the AP renewal offer is a little confusing .. perhaps one of you can help. We get 15 months for the price of 12, but our anniversary date stays the same.

Does this mean when we go to renew NEXT year, we would only get 9 months on the pass?
For example ... our anniversary date is in January 2010. If we renew now, our pass would be good till March 2011 or so. When we need to renew in 2011, would our next pass only be good till January of 2012?? :confused3

(Hopefully someone has their crystal ball out....)

Does anyone think they might extend this to new AP's any time in the coming weeks or months (beyond FL residents only)? I would be a lock to purchase 3 AP's if we could get them for 15 months, but at 12 months I probably won't do it.

I never did get time to stop at guest relations to ask my question - but I do plan to call later in the month ... there is a 30 day window after your AP expiration to still take advantage of the 15 month renewal.

If anybody finds out what the implications are for your next renewal cycle, please let me know :surfweb:
