Annual pass expired 3 months earlier than it should have

I'm currently on hold with Disney, about to ask them why my annual pass is currently expired, when I first used it on November 25, 2016.

It said it expired on Aug 28th this year.

Is there any logical explanation why this would have happened. I certainly was here in Canada at that time

i'm assuming you activated it on 11/25 as well? Also do you have proof of purchase?

My parents upgraded a 1 day MK ticket (bought in June) to an AP in December.....their APs expired in June at first, it was a mistake on the upgrading CM's part, they will fix you up right quick and all will be well....

Just got off the phone with Disney and this is exactly what happened. We upgraded our unused 7 day tickets to AP's and some glitch in the system caused the annual pass to activate at that time. They Fixed it! Thanks

There's not really a "system" to date an AP.
The Cast Member who activates an AP must manually input the anniversary date.
Historically, many times a CM will make an error inputting that date,
especially if the date is supposed to be a date different from the day the AP was actually activated.
An error in entering AP dates is so very common, that it is aways a good plan to check the anniversary date
on a new AP before leaving the ticket booth or Guest Relations where it was obtained.
