My MDE account shows an expiration date for our annual passes that I think is incorrect. Whats the easiest way to confirm their expiration?

Check the back of the hard pass you should have received. It's stamped there.

Unfortunately, the anniversary date of an AP can be fully changed by the CM who issues it.
So, even the date shown on the AP can be in error, if the CM made a mistake when the PA was issued.

I'm asking the OP, ACJT, what is your exact reason for your question about your AP date?

There is no date on the back of the card. Only the ticket number, and the name of the holder which the CM wrote on it with a sharpie marker.

Hello?
Anybody there?

I'm back.

If the date on MDE is correct I can use the passes on an upcoming trip. If the date I think it should be is correct ...I'm buying new tickets. In other words I'd love for MDE to be correct.

Is it because you upgraded to an AP midway through a ticket package and the date should be listed as the first day you used the package ticket, but the expiry date is actually the date you upgraded to an AP?

You could be on to something here. I was hoping there was a online link to checking tickets? Sort of like checking a gift card balance.

If that's the case, you should have no problem using your AP on the date listed on MDE. :)
We've had the same experience three separate times. We've even upgraded to AP's on day ten of our Magic Your Way tickets, and our AP expired a year from that day (instead of the first day using the ticket). We used our AP's the following year right up to expiry with no problem. :thumbsup2

That's great. Guess we'll go knowing/hoping/expecting them to work. If not, I'll be prepared to just buy tickets as needed.

This happened to our family. Four of us updated on day 2 (so I could get the AP discount on shopping/dining) and DH upgraded later in the trip (he arrived later). His expiration on MDE shows expiration 1 year from the date he upgraded, the rest of us show expiration one year from the date of first use of our MYW tickets. If our whole group got that lucky, we'd be there for Thanksgiving again this year!

The expiration date in MDE is the online system for checking the expiration date. How far off is the date from your expectations? Did you upgrade to these passes?

Ours are the same. We first used our hopper tickets on 2/21. On 2/27 we upgraded to an AP. Our expiration date is 2/27.

I think it's a week later than I expected.

You'll be fine. Use the date that's in the system and book your FPs with confidence.

Prior to the digital system, a DL Ticket CM upgraded our APs and gave us the new upgrade date that essentially gave us three additional months of AP use. At the DL AP window inside the park, the AP CM congratulated us for finding a Ticket CM who had no idea what they were doing! ;)

Enjoy your extra week!!

Lucky. It should have been the 21st.

I know! And I was excited because if we hadn't moved we would have been travelling to WDW on a family vacation the last week in February and the 27th would have been out last park day so we would have gotten an extra trip out of them.

It's always been like that at Universal for me too. When I renew at the park they always set my expiration for a year from my renewal, not a year from my previous AP expiration. Over the years my expiration has gone from August to October because of that.

Yup.
It's one of the few date settings that WDW CMs can manually change during the transaction.
And, many of them input the wrong date. (Great when the guest benefits... Not so much, when the guest's AP length gets "shorted" by days, weeks, or months.)
