Annual Pass Discount vs. Tables in Wonderland

We are going to WDW at the end of July and are planning to buy those premium annual passes that allow admission to WDW and Disneyland (we're DVC members and plan on returning to WDW next year prior to our passes expiring). I understand that as "owners" of an annual pass, there are discounts to restaurants at WDW. However, when I checked on my WDW Dining App for my iPhone, it says that restaurants have discounts for annual passholders, but they are for specific meals (e.g. only breakfast or lunch); however there are no discount limitations applied to Tables in Wonderland passholders. I was wondering if I should pick up a Tables in Wonderland discount card when we purchase our annual passes when we go there in July. What are your thoughts? Am I confused? Should I just stick with the annual passes?

Thanks in advance!

Definitely! The discounts on the AP are more specific like lunch Monday through Friday. The TIW card is for meals at xxx restaurant. We saved a lot of money on the TIW card.

If you eat at many table service restaurants, then the Tables in Wonderland is probably a good idea. It does cost $75 if you have an annual pass, so keep that in mind. In order for it to pay off, you'd have to spend $375. We usually make 3 trips per year with our annual passes and the TiW card has been great! It had already paid for itself by the end of the first trip (and that was just with two people using it)! Definitely worth the money. Another perk is that it can be used for up to 10 people.

The AP discount is usually 10% at specific restaurants for lunch only and during the week.

TiW is valid for 20% at any meal (including alcohoic beverages) at almost all full service or buffets, as well as at certain quick service and the Deluxe Resort Lounges.

We find the TIW to be worth more than an annual pass discount. We love the flexibility it gives us. Since we are averaging three trips a year lately and we do like to do a sit down meal every day, we definitely get our moneys worth out of it!

I'm glad to have come across this thread. We just ate at Le Cellier tonight and our waiter mentioned TiW to us. I came right on here to read about it. We'll have to debate if we want to get it but it's good to know the pricing.
