I rang up today to make a booking for Feb but found only the Dream pass gave discounts for this period. Getting the CM to look through the dates for me they found that the Fantasy had no discount dates at all that they could find in Feb or May 2009.

Does anyone know if this is because Dream are given priority and that Fantasy are given discounts nearer the time?

Does anyone know what dates Fantasy can make a discounted booking?

Because at the moment it looks like I won't be getting one  :sad2:

Any help or info on this would be wonderful as now im starting to really regret not getting the Dream ( even thought i couldn't afford it at the time! )

As far as I know the Dream gets you 10% off at all times.

The discount that you can get for the Fantasy is 10% off at certain times which I believe the last dates they gave run out at the end of December. The next lot for Jan, Feb, March & April should be released at the beginning of January.

That's how I *think* it works, however I only really looked into the Dream discounts etc.

Thanks, I never thought i'd be going back so quick but I caught that damn bug that's going round ;)

Otherwise I would have tried to stretch to get the dream.

Wish we knew the dates earlier if what you *think* is correct

Cheers Cap'n

Cap'n is right - Dream AP gives you at least 10% discount on room rates at all times. Fantasy is only 10% at certain times, and I've never seen those "times" published anywhere except for when the Envie + magazine comes out, every quarter.
Depending on the offers from Envie + though, you may get more than 10% room discount, even if you're not a Dream AP holder.

The current offers on room discounts came out in early October for Oct, Nov and December. The next Envie + magazine should come out early January, for Jan - March bookings. Then early April for April - June bookings, and so on.

It's slightly annoying as we want to go in May, however we won't get the discount rates until the beginning of May! Seems really odd but I don't want to book it with the 10% discount and then find that we could have got 35% or 40% (like the current offer)

I'm in the same position cap'n.

So I'm just going to do what I did for our June trip this year - sort out the flights, book a hotel which I can cancel before arrival, then phone up Disney for onsite room prices when the offers come out at the beginning of April.

I ended up going offsite in June, as the prices were so :scared1: (midweek low season as well!)

That's a very good idea Elaine. Think we will get that sorted when we come back from our December trip :thumbsup2

Thanks Elaine, Looks like i'll wait for the quarterly magazine to come out and then translate it all.

At least we'll know in Jan if we can go, annoying as the Eurostar costs will probably go up by then too! Esepcially as I can get travel and the HI for £300 for 3 nights.

Feel like im taking a risk then to get a disney room, i'll have to think quickly to see if it's worth it

If it helps, I can tell you how much I've paid for room only onsite since I've had an AP?

Okay,

November 07 (midweek Christmas season) - Cheyenne £48 per night (Expedia did have room only also at that time, quoting £40 per night for Santa Fe and £54 per night for Cheyenne).

June 08 (midweek low season) - Santa Fe sold out, Cheyenne £88 per night :scared1: , SL £94 per night. I paid £63 per night in the end, for the Explorers, including breakfast and all taxes/charges.

October 08 (midweek Halloween season) - Santa Fe £55 per night, was also quoted Cheyenne £74 per night (I know these were with 10% discount). I was also quoted the HNY at £104 per night, as this hotel had 30% discount for the dates we were looking at.

Thanks Elaine.

Mine is Davy Crockett Ranch 11-14th December 2008 (mid week, mid season on day of arrival) and I paid £67 per night.

At Easter we paid £423.90 for 3 nights at SQL (£141.30 per night)

For our one solitary night at DLH (31st October) we paid a staggering £466.64!!!

We have dream passes BTW
