Annual Pass Discount Dates???

Does anyone remember approximately what dates were included in AP discounts for the summer last year? I know nothing is guaranteed, I'm just trying to plan ahead.

I am thinking about getting annual passes for DD & myself, and we'd do a trip in July, another in Dec, and then one more in June, 2009.

Do the annual pass rates normally start after July 4?

We have annual passes this year (we had trips planned for Easter 2007 and July 2007). So it was more cost effective to purchase the AP over 10 day non-expiration. We ended up with AAA hotel discounts for both trips because AP rates weren't offered for either of our timeframes. July is very crowded with tour groups, so disney doesn't need to offer discounts to fill their resorts.

We're heading down again over February break (19-26) and hoping for some AP rates for some of the dates.....since we're after President's weekend, we're hopeful....but if not, we're good with our AAA rate.

I think I'll go ahead and use my AAA for now, and if something else comes out, I can apply it!

how much is it to join aaa? Do they normally offer discounts when there is no AP discount (particularly around thanksgiving?)

also, can somebody point me in the direction on where i can find these aaa rates to see if they are worthwhile?? Thanks!!

I'm not sure about were you are but my membership costs around $65 per year. For my next vacation I have saved $197 by booking the AAA rate at POP. So I would say that makes it more than worthwhile. Plus, there are many other benefits to having a membership.

The discount is always offered but there is a limited number of rooms available, so you must book early. The only exception that I know of is the holiday season in which there are NO discounted rooms at all. The discount ranges between 10% and 20% depending on what season you stay in and what level of resort.
