Annual Pass...couple questions??

I've tried looking up some threads on the topic but haven't found my answers.

1- Are you able to park hop with the AP?

2- What benefits do you receive outside of the actual ticket pricing?

3- Anything else I should know? My mom and I are hoping to take a short trip during F&W in October and then we'll come back in February with DH and DD for DD's 5th bday.

I'm just not sure what you can and can't do with one, and how you go about everything. Thanks!

2. Most of the time there are room discounts for AP, and free parking

In addition to what the pp said, as a pass holder you can get a TIW card.

1. yes you can park hop
2. you do get some discounts for shopping and dining.
3. i;m not sure what your lodging plans are but there are usually 20 to 35% discounts on room rates.

Yes you can park hop.

There are constantly room discounts at Disney hotels, and you get 10% off merchandise pretty much everywhere.
-Food discounts at select dining locations
-Discounts on a TiW card I believe
-Discounts on tours, specialty party tickets, etc.

Yes, Definitely. I have done it over and over.

~Discounts off merchandise everywhere with no minimum purchase - 10% off. That pays the tax!
~ Discounts at some eateries such as Yak and Yeti.
~ Free Parking
~ Discounts on rooms only privy to AP holders
~ Ability to purchase a tables in wonderland card for 100 dollars (soooo worth it!!!!)

The AP is worth it if you go at least 10 days in the rolling year

Just go to guest services to get the AP. What I did was 'upgrade' my magic your way package from my week long visit and they subtracted what I already paid for tickets from the AP price and I just paid the difference. For us, that was the best way to do it because we had already used 5 days worth of the rolling year at that point. I LOVE my AP and plan on getting one every year! I view it like an investment in your vacations. Once you buy it, you can go to disney whenever you want in that year for just the cost of the hotel and food!

I saved almost $40 last trip (4 nights) using the AP discount. Everywhere I spend money, I ask if there is a discount. I have used it on bicycle rentals, shops in the World Showcase and DTD, table service restaurants, movie theater at DTD, resort gift shops and more.

A discount card that gives you 20% off at TS restaurants and some CS places.

note: almost all shops (parks, resorts and DTD) give an AP discount but some don't (for example the big shop in Japan - Epcot does not). Do check out the list - some unexpected places - for example Earl of Sandwich a CS in DTD - give AP discounts.
