Annual Pass Copy (?)

I understand the need for a photocopy of my Park Hopper tickets, and I always make a copy and bring it with me.

Do I need to have a photocopy of my Annual Pass? Or do they have personal information in a database if it has to be replaced? What about the voucher (before the pass is issued?)

Thanks - Maddle

Once you activate, you can have your AP replaced with just a photo ID. If you lose the voucher, you are out of luck.

I have sent my AP though the wash more than once. I have gotten it replaced at Guest Services outside MK and Epcot by showing them my drivers license.

You are not "out of luck" if you lose your voucher - they give you a receipt at the Disney Store with all the info on it needed to cancel the lost voucher and replace it.

my dh accidently threw out our vouchers last year  . we had bought them over the phone, we called and they replaced them immediately.

I just read about this on AllEarsNet.com, here's the link:
http://allearsnet.com/pl/apass.htm#faq

And if you scroll down it says this:

"I put my AP away somewhere to keep it safe and now I can't find it. Does that mean I'm out hundreds of dollars? --OR-- I have ruined my AP/PAP by putting it in the washing machine. What can I do to get it replaced?

If it was an activated AP/PAP, you have no problem. Simply bring your photo ID to any Guest Relations location and they will reissue your AP/PAP to you.

If you have misplaced a new unactivated AP/PAP voucher, then you have a bigger problem. There is no buyer identification associated with a voucher. It can be exchanged and used by anyone. Your best protection from this is to make a photocopy of the back of your voucher as well as a photocopy of the sales slip and keep them where you would keep other valuable personal papers like insurance policies or bank books. You will have to prove two things to Disney in order to get it replaced: that the voucher actually existed and that you were the one that owned it."

It is a good idea to have two photocopies of each annual pass, too. (Or hand copy all of the letters and digits and codes on paper.) Keep one copy at home and bring the other copy to keep in your room safe deposit box.

Years ago I made a fuss at my college dining hall about seniors' not being able to show their ID and get in if they forgot their meal tickets. Perhaps it was a good thing that the rules were there so the students after graduating would take better care of things like opera tickets and Disney passes.
