Annual Pass Black-out dates & Staying at a Disney Resort

Does anyone know if you're staying at a Disney resort and it's a black-out date, can you still get into the parks (again, since you are staying at a Disney resort)?

A resort reservation doesn't override block out dates.

You still need to make park reservations even when you're staying in a Disney resort. Staying onsite won't override the park reservation system or the block off dates for your pass. But, staying onsite will allow you to make park reservations for your length of stay instead of limiting you to the number allowed for your AP as long as your dates are not blocked.

Thank you for verifying. For OP, a resort reservation does not over ride block out dates nor the lack of available park reservations.

I meant that OP having a hotel reservation can not get a park reservation if the park itself has no available AP openings.

If an ap is blacked out even though you are technically pulling from the “resort guest” pool it won’t be recognized as an active ticket to make a reservation
