We are thinking of buying an annual pass for DisneyWorld.
We live in Ohio so obviously we cannot get there every weekend. However we are planning maybe 2 trips during the year.
How can we find out the savings offered on hotels during July and December to pass holders?

Thanks alot

Some discounts don't come out until a few months before they're usable but if you're going to be spending more than 10 days in one year at the parks, then it makes sense to buy an AP. (At least before the new Magic Your Way passes, anyway - I haven't done the math on that yet). Also, you only have to have one AP to get the discount, the rest of your party could have regular passes if that makes more sense financially.

hth!

all4fun,

With the MYW stuff comming out, the break even mark use to be 10 days, but I think it is now like 15 or 16.

The breakeven point was 8 days. I think if you plan more than 10 days in the parks in a years time, the AP is a better bet for the whole family. Be careful though, those AP's cause unplanned visits to WDW! When we bought ours it was for a trip in May 03 and April 04. Since we didn't have to pay admission and got discounted room rates, we ended up doing 4 trips to WDW with those AP's. So much for it saving us money! LOL! :D

I agree with married2grumpy. The first time we bought APs, we went at the first of the year and the last. Our latest set just ran out and we had gone for New Years, Spring Break, 4th of July, Fall Break and Christmas. We definitely got our money's worth.

Once you've got the tickets, it makes for a cheap vacation. You have to feed the "little monsters" wherever you are. We timeshare, so lodging is always reasonable.
