We have been to WDW 5 times and it has been a while (6 years ago) since we were there. We always got packages through Disney with 7-day park hopper plus.
This year, we rented DVC points for May to stay at AKL for a week for our 30th anniversary and older DD's college graduation. Since we are renting DVC, we have paid for the amount which is nonrefundable.
In addition, DH and I will be going there in November for a week for the first time without kids (both in college) to attend Food and Wine festival. We have reservations at All Stars Sports which is refundable. At this point, we are 90% sure we are going. However, we haven't bought any WDW tickets for either trips yet. I think it is probably better to get annual passes for DH and I, since we might be going twice (maybe again in Oct 2020), but I don't want to buy these passes yet until we are closer to our November trip to make sure we are going.
Our fastpass 60-day window opens on Sept 13. I was planning on buying 2 7-day parkhopper passes from Undercover tourists, and link them to our November trip account. Then when we are there, upgrade them to annual passes. We will get 2 7-day passes later for DDs for our May trip.
So my questions:
- Is upgrading from a 7-day parkhopper pass to annual pass allowed after we have started our November trip? When can we do that?
- What if things do not work out the way I planned above, I buy our 7-day passes in November, make fast passes on Sept 13, then decide not to go and keep our tickets for May. Can we change the date and pay the difference? Who should we contact? Disney or Undercover Tourists?
Thank you for any help in advance
