Annual Pass Activation and PPO Reservation

Hiya pals!

I am considering purchasing an AP this year in advance of our trip. I understand that I will need to activate it at Guest Relations. We like to rise early at Disney World, so I also have plans for 8:00am PPO dining (in Epcot) on our first park day. Would I be able to activate the passes prior to the time when we would be able to enter the park for our reservation, or would I need to visit a park's Guest Relations the previous day in preparation for our first park day?

I just did this and I'd strongly suggest doing it the day before if you can. I'm not sure what time GR opens, but when it does, the lines are REALLY long in the am. We just hopped on the monorail the night before and activated ours at MK because we were staying at the poly. But you can also do it at Disney springs, or whatever park you are closest to. Someone actually just posted on another board how long the line at GR in the morning was, and I know from experience in the past with getting my sons disability pass, that they can be really bad first thing. If you have an ARR, I'd definitely not take a chance.

You can also go to any ticket booth to activate it. It's usually much faster if your going for rope drop.

We always activate our RP the evening before our first park day. You can go to Guest Relations at Disney Springs or any of the parks or the ticket windows as well. Usually the ticket windows have a shorter line then Guest Relations in the mornings.

I activated my AP on 4th of July weekend on a morning I had a PPO breakfast at CRT. No issues at all, and not much wait.

MK’s ticket windows are at the TTC/MK Parking Lot Monorail station.
All of the other park’s ticket windows and Guest Relations are just outside the entrance gates. (That includes at Epcot’s International Gateway.)

Another vote for night before at Disney Springs -that's what we always do. Takes the pressure off the next morning.
