Just read this on the AAA South site...I did a cut & paste:

Does anyone know if they will let you trade 2 day passes on an annual pass at the gate. I wish I had not already purchased my tickets. This is a great deal.

My sister was able to upgrade her two day pass to an annual last week at guest services.

Yes, you can upgrade. And unlike Disney, Universal gives you full credit for your pass. In other words, if you have a 2 day pass and have already used a day, Universal will still credit the entire amount.

Too late for me - I just renewed, but this is a great deal.

I've always thought the Universal annual passes were even better value for money than Disney's APs, but this deal is incredible if you visit Orlando ever year. Universal, like the other tourist destinations, are working hard to get visitors back to Orlando after the travel slump.

Regards

Rob

If I already bought an Annual Pass, do you think that they would allow me to upgrade it for the 2 year pass if I actiavte it between those time limits? If so, that would be really really nice. Plus, it gives me even more of an excuse to plan more trips.

Ktglads..... I just called the Universal Pass Hotline and yes you can upgrade. I renewed mine in Jan but haven't activated it yet. I was told that I could do it .... not on the phone or at the gate.....I have to do it at guest services. I am going from July 20-24th ...(may be extending to the 26th)...now all I have to do is wait for Burger King to have the coupon :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Can I just clarify that you need to have the BK voucher then before you can get the APs?

The cut & paste I did came from the AAA site.... it states that you must have the Burger King coupon to purchase.. at least that is how I am reading it . Here is a re-cap:
7/1/03 - 8/29/03 All ages. Non-member price at Auto Club South and the gate price is $169.95. Anyone purchasing at the gate will be required to have a coupon from Burger King. When purchasing at our branches, the buyer should present a Burger King coupon to the cashier.

Everybody keep their eyes peeled at their local Burger King for these coupons to become available and let us know when they start showing up!!

Has anyone seen the BK coupons yet? I went into 2 BKs in my area and they haven't gotten them yet.

UK Deb...depending on when you renewed...you can still get the second year for an addition approx 5 or 9 bucks...check AAA site for info.

Yep...two parks, all the discounts and benefits..no black out dates..this is a great deal. We are getting ours next week.

This is such a great deal but I'm worried that if I don't get the online 5 days for the price of two tickets before I leave (in four days) I won't be able to find the Burger King coupon and then I'll be so sad!!! But I think I'm going to go for it.

Just to let you know, the Universal Website now has a link to this offer. It says SPECIAL OFFER FOR FLA/GA RESIDENTS.

Does this mean you have to be a resident??? Does anyone know?? I called my local BK, and they didn't know anything about it. I am in Louisiana though. I do have relatives in fl. who could get me the coupon, but that doesn't help if you have to be a resident?? If anyone knows please post.

Thanks

Wenypooh.... yes, unfortunatly you need to be a GA or FL resident. AAA web site didn't explain that, but Universal Official Web site did.

OH POOH!!! That's what I was afraid of. Now I'm really bummed out. OH well. Thanks for letting me know.
