Annual Meetings - FYI

If you plan to attend any of the annual meetings, remember to call and RSVP.

You can call 1-407-566-3844 to reserve your space (24/7). This is an automated call, so have your member number handy. They will ask you to state which meeting you will attend (members are welcome to attend any meeting - not limited to Home Resort), your member #, your name, your phone number and how many will be attending.

From past experience, you will not likely be turned away even if you don't RSVP, but it does help with planning for the events.

On Nov. 30 (Wednesday) at the BW Convention Center, the BWV meeting will be at 9:00am and the OKW meeting will follow at 11:00am.

On Thursday, Dec. 1 at the Yacht/Beach Club Convention Center, the BCV meeting is at 9:00am, the VWL meeting is at 11:00am and the SSR meeting is at 2:00pm. (The Merry Mixer will follow at International Gateway from 3 - 5 pm.)

As others have suggested, if at all possible you should plan to attend a meeting for the experience alone.

Hello,

I'll be attending the SSR meeting next Thursday. Since I'm a new member, this will be my first meeting. Can anyone tell me what to expect? Is it worth the time out from my day to attend? Are there any refreshments, trinkets, etc? I would gather from the times of the other meetings that are scheduled that they don't last too long, is that correct?

They are pretty cut and dried as far as presentation goes. It even sounds scripted, but the information is good, and while the answers to member's questions also seem to be canned, it does get the point across what members are thinking about, and I think may make a difference in decisions down the road.
