Annual increase for MF's vs. rack rates

I'm guessing they increase somewhat equally. Does anyone know for sure?

I've looked at the resource thread with the MF increase history but I don't know where to find historical info on rack rate increases. Anybody have the numbers on how they compare?

Over the years the inflation % has been similar for DVC annual fees and rack rate charges. However, many (but not all) years have also offered good discounts off of the rack rates and DVC rates have even gone down some years while cash rates increased.

Regardless, I would certainly prefer to pay the 3-4% increase in a fee that is in the $4-$6 range rather than a similar % increase for $150-$500 range. In addition, the rack rates also have a tax in addtition to the charge itself - something not added to DVC stays (except apparently at Aulani).

I did a check a couple of weeks ago on a 1 bedroom at OKW the first week of May. Rack rates have gone up 43% from 2000-2011.

I did a check a couple of weeks ago on a 1 bedroom at OKW the first week of May. Rack rates have gone up 43% from 2000-2011.

The OKW dues have gone up just over 57.9% in the same time frame.
