Annual Dues question...

Hi All... We bought at BCV last year and this year will be our first paying dues. Although I received a small mailing listing the proposed operating expenses for 2011 at BCV, I have not yet received an annual bill (not that I'm complaining). Will I get an actual bill with the specific amount due or do I need to scan through the operating expenses and use that to figure out the annual dues amount...

.. Or maybe they just decided I was reeaaaallly nice and chose to waive my 2011 dues....

You will get an actual bill. It will also be posted on the member website where you can actually pay it, probably a couple of days before you get the paper bill in the mail.

dues for BCV for 2011 will be $5.2751 per pt. so if you own 100 pts, you will owe $527.51. it's that easy.

you will get an actual bill soon. you may want to call member services now to get a draft set up from your checking account if you want to pay monthly or you can pay the bill when you get it - i don't think you are technically past due until february 2011.

very unlikely that DVC forgot you, though...

If you bought through Disney, they typically charge you dues from the date you agree to purchase until the end of the year (unless it is a resort under construction and then things are done differently), so it is possible that you will be billed from that November date. Check your DVC member account and click on Annual Dues--it will show if you owe anything for 2010.

If you bought through resale, that would have been taken care of during the sale.

You can also pay by credit card which, if you pay off your card monthly, is a good idea. You can get whatever your credit card benefits are. On the other hand, if you maintain a balance on your credit card, doing the monthly draft might make sense for you.
