Annual Dues Payment System Down!

Yes, I have waited to the last minute. Yes, I know better and No, I don't need all of you guys to chime in to tell me because I know I should have done it earlier.

However, I go online tonight to pay it and the system is down! I tried twice but it says they are having an issue (I took a screen shot). ACK!

Just venting at myself really.

They are not considered late unless you pay them after 2/14.

Have you ever considered paying monthly rather than at the beginning of the year? I know it doesn't work for everyone (wanting to use a credit card, or using a year end bonus or tax refund, for example), and we paid annually for many many years. We didn't even know you could set it up to have the dues sucked out of your bank account each month.

But when we did our first add on a couple of years ago, we learned we could do that and changed our payment method. So now we're not giving Disney all our money up front each year and spread out the payments over the entire year we're paying for.

Like I said, there are pros and cons of each method, but we didn't even know the monthly option existed, so I thought I'd throw it out there in case there are others like us.

You could call MS Accounting and pay over the phone, unless their system is down as well.

As Breyean said you could consider signing up for the monthly debit. If you do this, you still have the option to pay off all or part of the balance with a credit card at any point during the year.

This is the first year in a very longtime that I have paid my dues before 1/15/13. I usually wait until the first week of February when the phones aren't so busy. Never had a problem waiting.

OP, do NOT WORRY! I agree with Michael - you are not late until after 2/14/2013.

We always pay in Feb right before the 14th so there's a bit of a grace period after Christmas bills and our home utilities bill in Feb.. by paying just before the Feb 14 date we don't actually pay for it until end of March with our CC bill.

We've contemplated opening up an account through RBC with their US Branches so we can do monthly but we use the chunk of points we gain with the dues to help with our flights.

OP you are good... you've got just shy of a month to pay the dues. Now if it was Feb 13th and it was down then I'd worry.
