So we went on the tour the last week of June and decided to purchase Monday June 30th. Played phone tag with my guide for 3 days. Put down the deposit on July 3rd and I have still not received my FedEx package. Called on Wednesday and left a message and have heard nothing back as of yet. His message said "I will be out of the office until June 6th, Have a happy independence day." So obviously he has not changed his message in forever and he can't remember which month 4th of July is in. I am not thrilled so far.....What should I do?

Are you kidding me, you have to post a message to ask what to do?

Call back and ask for a different rep or a supervisor if you really want the DVC membership...

I don't blame you for being frustrated! I would definitely call and ask to talk to a supervisor and let them no you no longer want any dealings with your current guide (not like you have really had any anyways) and ask for a new guide.

I am a bit confused - so you spoke to the guide on July 3 and placed a deposit on a credit card? But, the guide was out of the office till July 6?

I would check with the credit card company to see if the deposit was processed on the card. And yes, speak to someone else at DVC sales to confirm.

There can always be extenuating circumstances - for example, I was on vacation for 10 days this month, then took sick and was unable to return to work or change my v/mail. So give them a chance, and see what information you can get on your purchase from someone else. Good luck! and WELCOME HOME!

Definately give them a call and request a new guide. These people should be at your beckon call. There are a lot of people on these boards that absolutely love their guides and so should you. We were very lucky to get a great guide, he immediately calls me back when I have a question, is very friendly, and very knowledgable.

I spoke with him and made the deposit on July 3rd. I called on Wed July 23rd and he still had the same message on his voicemail from 4th of July weekend. And still no fed-ex package. I will call on Monday and ask for a supervisor. What number do I call? Member services? Some other #? The only one we have is his direct line on the back of the dream book.....

I was also out of town for a family emergency for a week in between as well so I haven't had much time to think about the whole thing, but I want my package already!

My guide and I got off to a rocky start because I feel like I was given some misinformation, and he was out of the office a lot. However I found out later that he had a death in his family and he was a little over whelmed by all of that. I would talk to your guide or a supervisor to see what is going on before you make a change. Everyone has bad days, and weeks.
