it really gets to me when u hera bout sites or come across sites takin the pureness out of disney. some things people modify and make into obscence things, it makes me sick why wood someone want to do that and the sites which slate disney and say its all evil. why??

I know. Unfortunately, I can't forget one i came across the other day. I was looking for info on policies on picture taking (like characters & kids and other people taking pictures of your kids) when I came onto a seemingly innocent site that scrolls down to photos of places you can get away with taking naked pictures in the parks!

There is a whole thread here on the DIS about people DEMANDING they have the RIGHT to take pictures of other peoples children. And asking them to stop is wrong!

I think you may have understood, I don't think that people were demanding to take pictures of other peoples children maybe demanding taking pictures of something that someone elses child is beside, but given the place, and amount of people it would be hard to get a shot of something without a random person in it.

natalie_89 unfortunately not all people see the beauty and goodness in Disney, doesn't mean they are wrong it just isn't their thing. Just as I wouldn't see the greatness in say a website saying great things about Football, they don't see they same in Disney.

natalie_89 unfortunately not all people see the beauty and goodness in Disney, doesn't mean they are wrong it just isn't their thing. Just as I wouldn't see the greatness in say a website saying great things about Football, they don't see they same in Disney.

i see what ur sayin..i no disney isnt everyones cup of tea.i understand that its just the people who edit say pictures of mickey mouse and minnie mouse and make them explicit. pics like that come up when searchin innocently for pictures of mickey.its not right..i came across a website once that was sayin how evil disney was and had pages of scences out of little mermaid and things sayin they anmators had dirty minds and had encorperated certain male parts into the castle and other things it was really weird..

I agree it is horrible, but if they are people who do those sorts of things to other pictures the magic of Disney isn't going to stop them from doing it to Mickey Mouse. They are just odd people in my opinion. The best thing for us to do is not let it taint us in any way.

No, I did not misunderstand. There are several people who have posted they would take a picture of a strangers child if they thought the child was "cute".

I agree some of the "magic" of Disney has been lost.

Apologies, I did get bored and stop reading there are a lot of pages, what I did read led me to believe it was just the people getting upset about their kids ending up in other peoples crowd photos or the stupid practice of not being able to take a picture of the characters unless you wait in line for ages. I do think it is kinda odd to take a pic of someone elses kid. Although not sure it would bother me if someone did it to mine they are cute LOL.

i think if a character just randomly run over and hugged my boy and it was areally sweet thing i woodnt mind people takin a snapshot then..

I think there are times that is is not right to take pics of other peoples kids. However, I don't think that is always the case from first hand experience. When our son was 10 months old we took him to Disney and did the character tent at Toontown. We went through all the lines to get pictures with all the characters. We met Sleeping Beauty and she wanted to hold Ethan. Well, he fell asleep in her arms. There were cameras flashing all over the place. It was a cute picture. She kissed him and left her lipstick on his forehead. If I could find the picture I would post it.

Sometimes I think that maybe the competition are the ones that start the rumors.

Something like that happened to me on our 2005 trip. when i was younger and went i had a really good experiance with pinocchio he came runnin tome and cuddled me loadsa and lots of people stopped and werer takin photographs, that i didnt mind it was purely a nice moment peoplewood like to capture

aww that sounds so nice... now that i wouldnt have a problems with its not like 1 person randomly comin over and snappina pic of ur child its lots all wantin to capture a magic moment
