Annoyed at TDM!

I Did Phinny's Quest This Morning, and won the treasure detector magic. So as always i went into a VMK public room, and i went into VMK Central, I said Gold! And there i was searching around the room, with my map. And what do ya know, i didn't get it again. The only time i have got it is when i did it in the Main Street, and got a Pirate Hat. Im so annoyed. I do Phinnys quests all the time on a morning. And i never get it.
Anyone got any tips?

There aren't any tips. I think most theories are that each pin is already pre-loaded, like a cell phone, with a prize. In a cell phones case, minutes. Then there are the same spots for every room where you walk over to get the prize. It almost always depends on your pin i think.

I've only gotten one item from TDM for a month and a half now.. and it was
a pirate map table. I feel your pain!

I always go to the same place. But, I haven't won much lately. Last month I won most of the time. Not sure if it really has anything to do with the change of months.

Was there a quest this morning? I thought the only thing listed on the calendar was VMK's Lucky Leprechaun catch?

While I have gotten a few prizes this month, most have been duds. So far. I have a few to work on tonight. Hopefully I'll get something worthwhile out of them.

Same for me in the Tiki Room. ITs always on that little island when you cross the bridge to your left, like, in the center.

I think it's just totally random. Like getting the SITS pin and then pulling the sword out. Face it, we're just slaves to the random number generator...

I always use the same area, until I do not hit 3 times ina row, then I find aother area, and it goes back to 9 out of 10, if you hit in a location, ALWAYS go back there and do it again until it stops hitting.
