Wendy (me) 46 but feels 21 in mind - Disney mad, the planner
John (DH) 46 - getting almost at Disney mad as me
Glen (DS) 14 - our lovely little boy one minute, stroppy teenager the next and mature young man occasionally
Ashley (DS) 11 - the loud one! A lot of this holiday has been based around his needs with him being very special.
Sunday 21st October 2007
Overcast but very warm.
Ashley must be better this morning he was playing on his PSP. Had small breakfast from the lounge and walked over to Fantasia Gardens through the Swan Hotel calling in at the shop on the way an bought a black fleece top with a huge Mickey Mouse on the back and a photo frame and as I didnt want to carry them around arranged to pick them up later.
The sun started to come out and it was very warm and Ashley started to suffer again. Now we as a family cant even play crazy golf without falling out, not the adults, just the kids, they argue over whose turn it is to tee off first, it just drives John and I up the wall! Plus as Ive said before Ashley could have a moment at any time - oh what fun!!!!
We made our way back to the YC calling in to pick my shopping up, Ashley threw up when we arrived back. He stayed in the room to have a rest and the three of us went down to the pool where there was music playing. YMCA came on and I couldnt control my arms, they just have to do the movements when I hear that song and it was good practise for later in the week when we were planning on seeing them at Eat to the Beat. We shared 2 counters service meals of chicken nuggets and cheeseburger with chips (crisps) - odd combination, and a chocolate cookie. Glen was wondering who had won the final Grand Prix of the season so concierge checked up on Google for us when we returned to the hotel, he was disappointed Lewis Hamilton hadnt won the title. We relaxed in our room for a while before catching the boat to MGM for our meal at Hollywood and Vine. Ashley felt a lot better and said he wanted something to eat, we checked in and had about a 20 minute wait, we had an elderly gentleman serve us by the name of Bill and he was lovely, Ashley was doodling on a piece of paper and wrote thank you Bill on it, he gave it to Bill who put it in his breast pocked and thanked Ashley. The total cost $124.45/4 table service credits.
We got our tickets for Fantasmic but while we were eating we noticed the heavens open outside, I began to wonder if we were going to be out of luck for the show. We had a wander around the shops and made our way over to the show for 6.45, it was drizzling lightly as we found a seat. The time soon went and every now and then an announcement came on that the show would be cancelled in inclement weather, then the lightening started. Some people around us called it a day and left but we stuck it out and we were rewarded when the show started - hurray. It was late night opening so we stayed in the park and had a look around until it was time to catch the boat at 10.30pm.
