Just want to say first that this is a great site. I've been reading the forums now for a couple weeks soaking up the info. Couple questions I have and hope I posted in the right spot.

We are going on our first trip to WDW in May. We will happen to be there for my daughters 4th birthday and our 5 year wedding anniversary. I already have reservations for my daughters B-day for the cindys breakfast with the help of the tips for calling and also chef mickey on another day. We are having Grandma go with so I'm looking for ideas on what to do for our anniversary. I was thinking of maybe going down to pleasure island for the night. Any suggestions on where to go for dinner? Do I have to make reservations in advance now like for the cindys breakfast? I read some posts about people that have some type of hats that say anniversary on it? Can you buy them at WDW? Thanks for any suggestions.

DH and I went for our 2 year anniversary last year...and will be going again for our 3 year this year. I would definately recommend Japan in Epcot for dinner...of course you have to enjoy that kind of dining. We made our reservations that day (which could work for you because of course, when you are traveling with children, plans can change!!). We had a dinner time about an hour and a half before Illuminations began, ate a leisurely dinner, and then had a perfect viewing of the fireworks.

Pleasure Island is also a great adult evening out. Be sure to check out the adventurer's club if you've never been there (looks very odd when you walk inside...I was hesitant) but it's a fabulous time.

Happy Anniversary! :flower:

Victoria & Albert's at the Grand Floridian! It will make for an unforgettable evening!

DH and I have been to Disney for 3 anniversaries now...the first one we spent at V&A. It was very nice. Romantic. But a bit snobby for us (we are such down-home types). The following year we went to Epcot for Illuminations. Another romantic trip but I don't think the fireworks compared to Wishes (IMHO). Last year we went to The Adventure's Club (which happens to be our fave spot outside of the parks in FL). No matter what occasion, the AC is the best! Maybe it's because we have been so many times and prefer a good laugh to a quiet meal. I would suggest buying bride and groom mickey ears! Wear them to the AC so the characters there will interact more with you on your special night! Whatever you do, don't try too hard to make it "perfect". I finally realised that it was better to just go with the flow more... :earsboy: :earsgirl:
