I'm hoping to keep this thread up for anyone to post their anniversary experiences to help others for their WDW Anniversary Planning :)

Post your ideas, experiences or even wishes of your anniversary in WDW.

Original Post ...
So, the last time we were at WDW was for our honeymoon. We're coming back now for our 3rd anniversary ^_^

I was hoping that anyone could give us tips for anything special that you think we could do?
We don't really know much about special events/dining/romanticness for WDW.

So any insider tips would be helpful ^_^
Update
DH made an ADR for our anniversary. It's a surprise to me, so I have no idea what it is!

On our first anniversary, we celebrated by having dinner at Le Cellier. After dinner, we went and found a nice spot to watch Illuminations and DH went and bought us each a glass of champagne from the French pavilion. We cuddled together and watched the show that way. We didn't have much money to spend to do anything elaborate (this was back when Le Cellier was still just one dining credit and we were on the dining plan). I have wonderful memories from that trip.

How about a tour - Keys to the kingdom at MK is nice. Or a carriage ride over at Port Orleans. DH & I try to take in a show that we usually skip. My favorite dinner at Tuttio Italia then sitting in the courtyard with an afterdinner drink - even just soda.

A nice restaurant like California Grill or Victoria and Alberts, or Blue Zoo at the Dolphin, would be nice. And sharing drinks around World Showcase (if you enjoy that) is always fun.

Ah, thank you for the wonderful ideas ^_^

We won't be visiting Epcot this trip (though, we spent all of our time there last time) so we won't be able to try some of the ideas.

We are on a budget this year but maybe a nice meal would be fine :) Any other recommondations? I'll be directing DH to this thread for him to gather inspiration from the other romantic ideas suggested ^_^

For our 25th, we had dinner at the Yachtsmen. We asked for and got a table at the windows. Very pretty. They gave us a special anniversary dessert. I feel like you can linger a little longer here than some places and the tables are not on top of each other! It is expensive but if you can swing it I think you will be glad you tried it. We also like to have room service and sit looking out the balcony. But that depends on where you are staying.

:flower3::flower3:

Happy 3rd Anniversary and many more!

I don't know if they still do it, but at the garden grille restaurant you can get 're-hitched' by Mickey or Minnie. Just put anniv on your ressie.

They do a cute ceremony and you get a certifcate and a small cake. No extra charge.

We went to the Hoop Dee Doo Review for our anniversary last year. They really play it up for anyone celebrating an anniversary.

California Grill, then watch the fireworks from the private balcony. I think you would enjoy that. Also, watching fireworks from the beach at Poly is nice as well.

We're leaving tomorrow for our 25th anniversary trip to WDW. We're going to follow several suggestions found here, and are also going to make time to just relax by the pool and enjoy being together.

Great Thread idea!! We are going for our ten year ann in Dec so I am interested in tips too!! Thanks :thumbsup2

How about the two of you and an evening horse drawn carriage ride at POR? Not very expensive and something you could do after dinner.

I'm glad this is helping people other than myself :)

I linked DH this thread and he has since booked an ADR for our anniversary. But it's a surprise to me, so I have no idea what idea he took lol

Keep all the ideas coming! Not only is it useful to me, but to others ^_^

You've gotten some really good suggestions here. Just remember that the thing that will mean most to your spouse is something personal from you.

How about writing a nice love letter (remember those?) and give it to them that day?

That is quite true ^_^ And I think he'd love that, he's adorably sappy like that :goodvibes

My understanding is a cruise in the seven seas lagoon to watch Wishes. They also have one for Illuminations at Epcot. Wishes is our favorite.
You can request snacks and wine/champagne. You can go to the platinum pkg details and it will tell you about the cruise.
This is one of those once in a life time trips for us. I am way over planning. Researching everywhere and every thing. I married my Prince Charming and I know he is going to be pulling surprises:tink: out of his hat so I have to pull my own for him.
