My partner and I are finally taking a last minute trip to DLR (first alone trip ever without the kids!:cool1: ) in October to celebrate our anniversary. We are not staying on property this time and I am trying to find a place that might deliver a Disney themed gift basket or something (Disney related) other than flowers to our hotel prior to arrival. I am having a hard time finding anything! I love the service that is used at the DLR hotels but I don't think they extend this to other non property hotels, am I right?
If anyone has any other ideas that could make this anniversary trip memorable I would love some other types of ideas as well... thanks!

Hmm... I don't know of any gift basket deliveries. I guess you could call around and see if anyone around there does something like that. Or see about having something shipped to the hotel. But that would arrive in a box and not displayed nice.

We will be celebrating our anniversary there in June so I would be interested in ideas too. I know you can get anniversary pins in the park at the bank or city hall. I don't know if a restaurant would do anything special if you told them it was your anniversary when you made a ps.

It seems like i've seen that some florists have other things besides flowers that they could deliver. I'm thinking i've seen maybe a tin with cookies or there are the fruit bouquets where they take fresh fruit and make it look like a bouquet of flowers.

Or if you bring your own present with you maybe you can be sneaky and leave it in the room right as you are leaving to go to the parks w/o being seen. Maybe you have to run back to the room because you "forgot" something and then put the present out so it will look like it magically appeared while you were away.

Yeah if you cant find anyone I agree with other posters, definately call the hotel and let them know you are shipping something special by UPS to be placed in your room. Most hotels would be happy to do that for you.

I have done this thank you... now waiting for the call back from the person that "may" be able to take care of something for me.
Thanks for all your suggestions! I would love to hear about any other things you may have done for your significant other for a romantic disney getaway!

How about a cookie bouquet?

Cookies by Design (I used to work for them, and their Disney baskets are super-cool!) does deliveries, and they have a website where you can order online.

Much tastier than a bouquet of flowers

I have had really great meals at the Napa Rose. If you have not I highly suggest you do it!

Sounds like a fantastic idea! Especially after reading your journal and your experience there! I'm so happy for you and your HUSBAND!! isn't it great to say that?!?!?!? I am soooooooo jealous of the Disneyland wedding... we are hoping to do it one day! I hope your day is magical!
PS I like the blue center too!
