Anniversary Episode

I've been using the DIS for trip planning since 2003 but haven't been active on the boards until the past year or so. I just started listening to the podcasts a coulple months after Bawb died.

So this weekend I went back and listened to the 2 history podcasts and the Anniversary episode. I just think that everyone should listen to them if you haven't already. Especially newbies..... It really makes you appreciate how special this community is.

So a big thank you goes out to Pete, John, and all the team.......
You have really given my Disney addiction .....I mean affection a place to go and hang out and not feel so isolated in the Magic.

I love the Anniversary show where everyone talks about how they came to the DIS. I've listened to it many times. I think it's the June 12th 2007 show.

There is a sticky that has all the dates on it. They are all listed by catagory.

There are 2 podcasts that have the history before the anniversary show.

Ugh! Just realized I left my ipod at home! I want to say it was 4/1/07 and 5/1/07 (or right around the 1st of each of those months). If you use itunes, it shows "history of the dis" in the descriptions.

There is a sticky at the top of the Dis Unplugged sub forum that says Dis unplugged Index. It lists all the dates there. Catycat did a great job catagorizing the podcasts.

My favorite story is Kevin's. Where he talks about his mom going to the phone booth in Daytona everyday and how walking into the Magic Kingdom changed his life. I also like how he talks about totally not understanding what John did, then he lost his job and came to the DIS and suddenly "got it."
