Hello!
I’m looking for suggestions for a somewhat romantic anniversary dinner for DH and I. It seems kind of silly to need suggestions but there’s quite a few caveats...
1- we are about 2.5 weeks out on our last minute trip so getting good ADRs is difficult
2- we will have our 7 and 9 year olds with us so we need kid friendly with some sort of romance/ambiance
3- DH and DS are fairly picky eaters and are more burger/pizza/chicken fingers people

This seems like a tall order I know, but just looking for something cool.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

I think the Grand Floridian cafe is beautiful and wold be a good last minute choice. They usually have availability and the food is good.

Another place would be Jiko but you might need to check the menus

Swan & Dolphin Signatures lend to 'last minute' reservations.

If you dine at a Swan & Dolphin Signature, you can drop your children at Camp Dolphin 'for free' (with the purchase of entrees at dinner.

I agree with this suggestion. OP, consider Il Mulino at the Swan. It's definitely a quieter, more romantic atmosphere than other WDW property TS, but you will see families there. They have pizza, pastas, chicken, steaks, etc. on the menu, so should fit the bill for eaters who aren't terribly adventurous. You can make reservations via opentable.com or by calling the restaurant and last-minute reservation are quite easy to come by. The kids could eat with you or as JZCubed suggested, you could bring the kids to Camp Dolphin (which is the Swan's sister resort right next door) and take advantage of their child-care discount while you dine at one of their restaurants. You could make a whole evening of it - walk on the Boardwalk afterward, see the magicians and jugglers, rent a surrey bike, etc. I think it's totally romantic!

Here is some info on the Camp Dolphin discount while dining at a few of the Swan/Dolphin restaurants: https://www.swandolphin.com/kids/parents.html
