Dh and I will be celebrating our 19th anniversary while in the world on May 1st. 2012. Of course I don't know which park we'll be in that day bc lcpc aren't out yet but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of a restaraunt to go to so I can start looking at which options are our best in each park??

We will have dd with us also who will be 14 at that time. She is a vegitarian but as long as she can have a Caesar salad, garlic bread, and pasta or fries she is happy. We are also not huge fans of seafood.

So any suggestions? What's your favorite sit down restaraunts in the world (park, resort or DTD) and what do you reccomend if you've had a meal that was memorable there?

Thanks for your suggestions :)

Kim

I would pick Il Mulino at the Swan. It's not on the dining plan so it's quieter, more adult environment. Your daughter will love the many choices there. The food is outstanding and if you want to have a bit of wine for your anniversary, they have an excellent selection.

This is one of the few restaurants at WDW where the service is always top notch, something that's important to me when celebrating an anniversary.

It's a 5 minute walk out of Epcot's International Gateway so it's easy to get to it. Or you can take the boat from DHS to the Swan.

I've alway one of their specials when dining here and I have enjoyed every meal. The last time I had a risotto which was outstanding.

The past 2 years my DH and I have gone to WDW for our anniversary.

The first year our anniversary meal was Tutto Italia, it was great! The atmosphere was very nice, the food was delicious, and the service was good...we had an excellent time.

This past year we went to Le Cellier. I don't know why it gets such a bad rep on here we thought it was fabulous! Again, the atmosphere was nice, our table was actually a little more secluded which made it more romantic. The food was amazing!!!

I hope you have a great time! :)

your anniversary is my birthday :goodvibes

for celebrations, we have enjoyed yachtsman steakhouse and citricos the best. our favorite waiter, oscar, has always made us feel so special--and citricos has always brought out little extras for our celebrations.

if you want to go outside of the dining plan-- shula's at the dolphin is a fantastic steakhouse!!

without a doubt shula's steak house... look at restaraunts.com also, they usually have a discount you can get there...

I would second either Citricos or Yachtsmen - both wonderful service and very romantic.

If you choose Il Mulino, they frequently have discounts on restaurant.com - usually something like $25 off two entrees or something like that.

We celebrate our 30th on April 24, 2012, and we plan to have dinner at Artist Point. We've celebrated many anniversaries with trips to WDW, and dinner at AP. Last year, circumstances prevented a trip to Artist Point (or even WDW) and we really missed our anniversary dinner there. We've always had excellent food, service, and atmosphere at Artist Point.

Simba's Mom: Are you actually DH in disguise? We will celebrate our 20th anniversary on April 25th, 2012.

I am vegetarian and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Cali Grill. The chefs there are amazing as well as the view of the parks. Cali Grill is my vote :D

Simba's Mom: Are you actually DH in disguise? We will celebrate our 20th anniversary on April 25th, 2012.

:rotfl2:rofl - well, the last time I checked I'm definitely NOT a DH>
What a nice thought though for the dh to actually think this out. I get him to plan them when we are in town sometimes but I'm the planner when it comes to our trips to Florida so I'll be the one to figure it out this year.

Hope your anniversary dinner is nice too.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I'm sure DH would really enjoy a good steak, but I'll have to look further into each of the these suggestions and figure out what I like best :)

Keep em coming though :)

Well, we haven't actually done it yet... but we're celebrating at Narcoosee's this year and you can see Wishes from there!:lovestruc

I second the vote for Tutto Italia. Esp if you can get seated in the quiet side room- very romantic. Great food, yummy desserts, and they will serenade you with a short Italian anniversary song.

Another special option-- get the latest reservation time you can at 'Ohana -- ask for a window seat. You'll catch the last of the music, and you may even get called up for a special anniversary dance with other couples celebrating. Then you can watch Wishes from the window of the restaurant.

Wherever you choose, make sure you tell them it's your anniversary-- ask your hotel for a Happy Anniversary button that you can wear all day (or even all trip) -- you will never feel so special as Disney makes you feel while wearing that button. We did it this summer, and every restaurant gave us a free dessert with our meal. (We were on the dining plan, so our desserts were included, but then they brought an extra 3rd dessert! :)

We are celebrating our 10th this Thursday, and we booked the 8pm Spirit of aloha show. I hear the food is outrageous and the show is great. It also includes wine and beer.

We celebrated our 18th at California Grille last year and they really made us feel special. We had a room on the side that was quiet, overlooking the lake and the table was decorated with Mickey confetti. The waiter made a big deal of it, and brought our desserts with little "Happy Anniversary" chocolate plaques on them. It was really nice. Of course we had our 3 kids with us so "romantic" wasn't really the goal, but it would have been very romantic for a couple.
Next August we will celebrate our 20th at WDW and I am reading all of your suggestions and thinking them over. I am not sure yet if we will try to have dinner alone ( oldest DD will be 17 at the time and can take her sisters somewhere else or watch them in the room) or if we will just all go somewhere together.

Keep the great suggestions coming.

Chef de France in EPCOT is fantastic and always very consistent. Great wine also!

Hi! For our 25th this year we are going to the Yachtman Steakhouse. It is a favorite of ours! We love the food and the atmoshphere is very relaxing( and without the kids this year....romantic!:thumbsup2)lol

My husband and I celebrated our 15th a few years back. We made ressies for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Dinner Show. We had a blast. Three of our four children were with us. Our girls were 11 and 13 at the time and our little guy was 2. They really make a fuss out of anniversary/birthday peeps. They had us get up and dance and sang to us. There is salad, corn-on-cobb, mash potatoes, bread....for your vege eater. They serve fried chicken and dessert. It was all very tasty and lots of fun. It is held at the wilderness grounds.

Happy Anniversary!

Thank you for all your suggestions :)

After listening and viewing the thread on the restaraunt interiors I think we've finally decided on the following....

19th Anniversary dinner - Sanaa (It's beautifully done and dd will get enjoyment out of the fact that you can view the animals on the savannah)

FUN ATMOSPHERE - we couldn't decide on just one - and it was hard to select only 2 also so we just might end up adding one more but we are going with two for sure...
-50's Prime Time
-T Rex

Thank you everyone :)

We celebrated our 43rd at the Brown Derby in HS. We have also celebrated events at Chefs de France and Tokyo Dining in Epcot.
