Anniversary dinner- Narcoosees, California grill or Citricos

I have not yet been to Citricos (1st time this June); but between California Grill and Narcoosee's my choice would be Narcoosses. For me CG is crazy loud and has spotty service. Also for me while I really enjoy the sushi, I'm just not blown away with the entree's (ok) and the dessert menu for me is one I just don't get for a signature restaurant. As for Narcoossees, this is our arrival night tradition. I have always had very good to excellent service, I enjoy the atmosphere, the appetizers are very good especially the shrimp and grits, love the entrees, the desserts are excellent with the Almond Cheesecake perhaps being the best dessert in WDW, and the view of Wishes and the Electrical Water Pageant is also excellent. With all that said, I hope whichever restaurant you dine at I hope you will have a wonderful anniversary.

California Grill gets my vote.

I think it depends on your focus for what makes a meal special. Cali Grill is the most special environment of the three. And while we've never encountered families with poorly behaved children at Cali Grill, we have had mixed experiences with food. Every single visit, we get some things at are absolutely delicious, but we also get at least one or two things that are somewhere between average and just plain bad. Narcoosee's is next in line for atmosphere. Like Cali Grill, it's a decent spot for watching Wishes while you dine. We've never had bad food at Narcoosee's, but I've never felt the food was very special or overly memorable either. Citrico's menu feels the most elevated to me, but unlike the other two, it's all about the food...i.e. there's no view to give you that added hook. Of course, you'll have the fewest children at Citrico's, so that right there could be the hook.

Thank you to everyone who responded to this thread. I had planned to have our anniversary dinner at CG, while DS hung out at Lilo's Playhouse (not sure if it's called that). The comments here have given me a lot to think about, and I am very glad I am researching this WELL before I make ADRs
