I had it noted in my ressies that we are celebrating our 8 year anni. while we are down there next month. I got the personalized menu at Coral Reef (no diver slot was available :sad2: but was wondering what else they do. Is is noted on all of the ressies or just one meal. I had informed them of our Wolfgang Puck dinner but it sounded like each meal would be recognized. :confused3

If it's noted on your ressies each restaurant might do something, this could be confetti on your table, free cupcake or simply a congratulations.

Yea--better to go with no expectations than to be disappointed!
Do stop in City Hall on Main Street and get a Mickey Minnie wedding/anniversary pin for you and your DH.

We just celebrated my inlaws 50th anniversary 8/4-12. The only place that went above & beyond was the Coral Reef. We were able to get the personalized menus and diver for them. At first they seated us on the 3rd tier. I wasn't sure how we would see the diver from there, but said nothing. Then the manager came over and moved us right next to the tank. We were a group of 13 so we were seated at 3 tables. They brought my inlaws 2 glasses of champagne and a chocolate wave dessert without requesting it or paying for it. I was a little disappointed at each TS restaurant that nothing was done. I was expecting a little confetti but we received none. A few times we mentioned it was there anniversary and still nothing was done. We didn't get them buttons though, I don't think they would have worn them.

Have a great trip!

That sounds cool, anything would be good!

That's what I was thinking they can't do it for everyone so..., the pins are a good idea!

It varies by restaurant, most don't do more than just wish you a happy anniversary but some do go beyond that. We got a personalized menu at Artist Point and a certificate. We got complimentary champagne at Brown Derby as well as a certificate. At Cinderella's Royal Table we received a pair of very nice engraved glasses. V&A also mentioned it on the personalized menu. This was all based on it being noted on the reservations, not because of wearing buttons. While it was very nice to receive what we did we were not disappointed at any of the restaurants that did nothing since we did not go expecting anything.

Wearing the buttons will get alot of congratulations and alot of people do wear them, as well as the birthday, just married, 1st time visitor buttons, and since they are free there is no reason not to wear them unless you just don't like the attention.;)
