Anniversaries

Not sure where to post this at. My daughter told me to make sure and tell the reservation clerk it was her and her husbands anniversary and my and my husbands anniversary the week we are going to FW. We are staying in a cabin there. She read that they do special things for you if they know in advance. I told the reservation clerk and she said to tell them again when we check in. Is this true? What do they do?

Don't go expecting "something" many people will tell you they told everyone and got nothing. But on occasion cast members will "take care" of you. I've read everything from balloons to autographed pictures of Mickey. It never hurts to let them know...just don't be dissappointed if nothing happens.

p.s. I've had better luck at restaurants when we told them we were celebrating special events...like free desserts or a little extra here and there.

We stayed at the poly and i got a red rose in a vase and a picture of minnie and mickey signed wishing us happy anniversary and i we got free dessert at some places where we ate.

Hubby and I went for our 10 year anniversary, told everyone, and got nothing special. So don't get your heart set on anything special just in case. Happy anniversary, by the way.

We were there for our 25th in May and had nothing done for us. I mentioned it when making reservations and again at check-in, made us special buttons (did receive spoken congrats from CMs and other guests!) and decorated our room.
I hoped that since 25 was a big milestone to reach, something would happen, but it didn't. I knew not to expect anything from posts on this board and we had a great trip anyway!

We were there in June for our 25th and got ballons and a card when we checked in (they were waiting in our room) and at Cinderella Castle for dinner that night we got 2 wine glasses and then we did the re hitching at the garden grill and got a cake. I don't know if the fact that we had 2 of our children with us made a difference (they were 6 and 11) or not.
