Annabella to DLR?

I posted a question yesterday about Red Lion, Castle Inn or Portofino Inn. I just noticed that the Anabella is also available and was wondering the best way to walk from there to the esplanade. Also, has anyone stayed here and liked it?

I haven't stayed there but friends have! They liked it and they walked down the street (can't think of the name, but it's the one PPH and GCH are on and entered through the Grand then out to DTD from the Grand. They said it was about 20 minutes from their room to the front gate (if there is no back up at security).

You would need to walk down DL Drive and can cut through the GCH to DTD. Walk through DTD to the security check into the Esplanade.
I just booked BW Stovall's for the SW Marathon (same location roughly), and that area is a little over a half mile from the parks.

From the Anabella, walk left to the corner of Katella and Disneyland Drive (at Tiffy's Restaurant), cross Katella and proceed on Disneyland Drive along the tree-lined path until you reach the driveway of the Grand Californian. Walk up and into the Grand Californian's lobby, make a left down the hallway with the big ballrooms and out the sliding doors near the amphitheater, and then out into Downtown Disney. From Downtown Disney, walk right to the Parks' bag check and into the Esplanade. I'd say it shouldn't take much more than 15 minutes.

Serial gave the best/most detailed description. We stayed at the Anabella in 2013 and LOVED the walk to DL. I was worried about "figuring it out" but it wasn't hard at all. I really like staying over on that side just because I like walking through the Grand & DTD. Here's my review from our stay in December 2013:

I love anabella.

The walk there is very pleasant, once you get the crossing-of-Katella done with. (It's a very broad street)

Walk down the aptly named Disneyland Drive, you'll never forget again...

To the OP: the official signs will direct guests past the GCH, but this is a much longer route than walking through the hotel.

we stayed a few years ago and liked it. Is about a 10-15 min walk if you get through the GC Hotel.

We have stayed there before and prefer the location if walking over most anywhere else over on Harbor (except if right across the street). It is a nice walk down Disneyland Dr and cutting through the GCH is always fun!
