How bad is the meet and greet line now a days?

It is still 2 hour ++ and I don't see that changing until after the summer crowds are gone. I don't watch it too closely because (luckily) my four year old daughter doesn't care but the shortest I've ever seen it was 90minutes.....except for the mad dash rope droppers.

Went about a week ago and it was still more than 2 hrs. We got our fix at the pre parade

Last week mid day it was a 2 and a half hour wait. Got a good spot for the parade and that had to be enough. Also, when we exited the Pinocchio ride, I happened to turn around and see A&E in their meet and greet area. We lingered just a bit to take a look and then had to get out of the way for people that were in line.

FWIW, I was there this past Saturday, and mid-afternoon the posted wait time was 180 minutes. I don't know if that's standard all day anymore, or if weekdays/mornings are shorter.

Our experience last week is that it was not a mad dash. People did walk quickly but most people dont know about the pre opening line until their second day in the park so that actually helps. You do need to be a the turnstiles early, like 2-3 family at a gate but then a quick walk to the hub will do it. If you have a stroller have one adult go ahead and get in line. We were the 4th family in line and done in about 20 minutes. It was only Anna for us and I think one sister might be the norm in the morning. That might help others decide. She did spend a good amount of time with each family.

Looks like one of my mornings will be a fast walk and wait for the rest of the fam in line. I dont mind even if they go ride a ride or 2 while I wait.

Can someone post a video of this whole experience in the morning shifts for A/E I've been looking for YouTube videos but nothing.

Also does it really matter what gate you line up at in the morning? Where does the A/E line meet? How can you tell its a legit line and not a fake person as I read before.

I think my kids (and myself) would be incredibly disappointed to wait in a long queue and then not get the photo with the sister of your choice, Do they let you know that there will only be one of them to begin with?

We were there for 5 days a couple of weeks ago. Reports from that time period were that Anna is always there first thing in the morning. One morning Elsa was there at opening, one morning she joined Anna 30 minutes after opening, and another morning it was an hour after opening. We did not hear any reports of her being any later than that.

We made the park opening run on a non early opening day, figuring as resort guests we would try again at early opening the next day if it didn't work. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There was no designated line led from the castle to the meet and greet our day (we were the day the guest held up a sign that the Anna and Elsa line starts here and people thought he was a CM and lined up there until a real CM came out and said there would not be a line led down that day). DH could have been 1st in line, but he knew DD and I were not running, so he let a few people get behind him. DD and I did a fast walk and did not wind up very far back. They do announce right when you get there that only Anna is there, and they continue telling the front of the line that they will only see Anna. We wanted to see both and we weren't doing the run or the line again, so we stepped back and let people pass until Elsa got there. Most people just went ahead and saw Anna as they did not want an indefinite waits and the CMs weren't saying when she might show up or even if she would. A couple of families behind us decided to hold up with us and wait a little. Of course, Elsa didn't show up for an hour that day-still worth it to only miss 1 hour of park time instead of 2 or more. If she had not shown up after the first hour we would have given up and just seen Anna, who is my daughter's favorite now anyway, but our understanding was it is very rare for her not to show up by then, so we stuck it out. As far as when one of them may come and go during the day and you could potentially only see one- that I have no idea about. We knew we weren't waiting in a 2 hour plus line, so I wasn't real worried about what happened later!

Oh as far as the line, about every time we walked by or checked it was posted at 2 hours.
