After searching and refreshing, over and over again... I finally got the FP! B/C of the schedule of the 7DMT dedication, we decided to move our scheduled 2nd MK day to Wed instead of Friday. As soon as I switched, I was able to see a A&E fp. YAY!

This is absolutely ridiculous. If I go into the site at 60 days out and do not have the ability to get a FP+ for A&E, I will cancel my trip. Period. How in the world can it fill up when I go in 60 days out? Is there that many people going in from 67-61 days out that they get all the FP+ for A&E? If so, then Disney will have to do something to fix that in the next couple weeks. My trip is 6/22-6/28 and I am looking for FP+ for A&E on 6/22 early evening.

The (supposed) main advantage of staying on site with this new FP+ process is that you have 60 days as opposed to 30 days or day of. If I can't go into the site as early as possible (midnight of the 60th day before my trip) and guarantee myself FP+ for myself, wife, and 6 year old, then what is the point?

@CF - The problem is you not facing competition at the 60 day window, you are facing competition from people booking at 60 days plus the length of their stay.

When my window opened (trip is 5/31-6/8), I knew A&E FPP would be gone early in my trip from other people booking for earlier trips using 60+length of stay. So I targeted day 7 of our trip, knowing fewer people would have access at that time. And I was able to book all 4 of us at once - didn't need to use the copy 1 and then hunt for the rest technique.

So if you need A&E FPP right at your day 60 (first day of trip), you are probably going to be out of luck as people arriving the week before have already booked it themselves. Yes - A&E are that popular right now and will be for awhile.

If staying on property, do the FP+ reservations work the same as dining? In other words, can I book A&E for really late in my trip, say 70 days out, giving me a better shot?

Yes - that is what I did and I was able to book all 4 of us at once w/o needing to copy 1 and hunt for the rest. You should (as onsite) be able to book FPP for 60+length of stay. But with MDE......you never know

FWIW, I'm an AP and can only book 30 days out. Clearly I have a disadvantage to those who are able to book 30 days (or more) before me. However, I currently hold FP+ for four different days to meet A & E. April 20, 26, 27 and May 2. And before anyone begins to flame me for this, I will say that I have a DD who is 2 years old and LOVES the characters. I also have a FP+ for just me and my husband for 3 days and just myself for one of the days since my DD is too little to require a FP. We live close by and go to the parks weekly and always visit Fairytale Hall (by using one of our 3 FP+ per day.) The characters are why we visit the parks, and so we are excited to add A & E into our MK park visits on the weekends.

I'm sharing this basically to say that days DO open up. Those of you who are staying onsite do have the advantage, and although the day you are searching for may appear standby only when you first look, a little perserverance can reward you. Just keep trying!

Do you sit there literally all day and just refresh on the app or the computer? Does Disney update as the FP become available, or is it more like on the hour or every 30 minutes or something? I read earlier someone said they saw them open at 10pm on two days, but I checked (just for practice because I'm not in my window for another couple weeks) last night and the night before at 10pm and saw nothing. I probably refreshed and/or logged out and back in near 100 times and nothing.

We go from 6/22-6/27. We will be in the MK all but one day, but could easily arrange to be there even on that day if it meant getting to meet them. I am hoping we will be able to get FP for just one day that we are there. I am not picky on day or time. I will take whatever and work around it. We have five in our family plus a two year old, which also worries me because it seems like odd numbered and larger groups are the ones who have trouble. I personally know several people in groups of 2-4 who were able to get these FP without a problem over the last couple weeks, but then I read these boards and get anxious. I am a huge planner but this is totally sucking the life right out of me!

You're not just waiting for Disney to potentially release more, but you're also searching for individuals to change their plans and drop their personal FP+ for a certain time and day. And with that, it could happen at any time or day when the person is online and chooses to change their plans. Last night I was able to score one for May 2nd by literally sitting online and refreshing and checking different days. I try to think when people might be online and making plans and hop on then. But really, there's no rhyme or reason to it. You just have to be on at the right time when someone chooses to cancel. As far as Disney potentially releasing some. I'm an AP and can book only 30 days out. I have gotten on exactly at midnight several nights in a row and was only searching for 1 person and couldn't find a single thing the moment my 30 day window opened up. But then maybe a day or two later I've been able to find one at some random time in the day.

The only strategy I can offer is to only search for one not your entire party size and if you snag one, then attempt to copy it to the other members in your party.

I agree with you that it's totally ridiculous. For heavens sake, why can't they put A&E meet and greets in all four parks right now. Hire the actresses, duplicate the costumes. Done.

Our window opened up at midnight (11pm central time) for june 8-15. By 11:15 all the Ana and Elsa fast passes were gone. I learned a trick to start with your last day first so I went straight for the 14th and grab a fp for 5 of us. Then went in and tinkered with my times. Saturday June 14th still had some available as of 2 pm cst today.

Our 60-day window opened up last week. I was only able to make FP+ selections for one person for A&E. So I made a FP for myself (at 12:25), then went back to the main FP page. When I selected that day, it gave me a list of options: Select/Replace, Change, Copy, Cancel. So I copied that FP to one of my daughters (it gave her an alternate overlapping time of 12:30). I then went through the process again for my other daughter and my husband. It was time consuming but not tough to do. We all got staggered times--my husband's window opens at 12:45--but they're not so variable that it should cause problems.

I went through this process as well on my first day to schedule FP. It worked and got all four of my family reserved for anna and elsa. Unfortunately about one week later two of those FP disappeared. I called the WDW support line and they were unable to add those two I had previously scheduled back to my account. He suggested that I talk to the ride operator when I arrive that day and tell them what happened. I have two FP for myself and my DH fortunately. He said that hopefully because of this the ride operator will allow my two kids to join us for the meet and greet.

When is your date? I have a feeling that the closer you get to your date, the more you will find. I wasn't very optimistic either, so I was SHOCKED when I saw them pop up today for more than 1 person. We actually were able to get 4 total, but 1 of them would have been for a different time. Also, I moved my dates around. I originally had a Friday planned, and moved to a Wed. I think that really helped.

I am an offsiter, who couldn't book until April 1st and will be traveling at the end of April. So, it was quite the challenge!!!

I believe that it is updated immediately. Why do I believe this? Because as soon as I saw one open up, I would grab it up. Then, if I was unable to copy it to someone else in my party (because no more were available), I would release it. As soon as I released it, it would show available again. This happened EVERY time I messed around with A&E FPs. So, yes, I think that they are available as soon as others release them.

My strategy was this: I originally was planning for May 2nd, which is a Friday...and the dedication day of 7DMT. When I realized that it might be too busy of a day for our family, I moved us to Wednesday, the 30th. I left all of my fps empty for that day, and then checked to make fp for just me. If there wasn't anything open, I left it the reservation board blank. I refreshed a few times in the morning. As soon as I saw one open, I worked fast to copy it to the one child who it was most important to. When it showed that I could not copy to anyone, I release mine. Then, I refreshed a few more times around noon. As soon as I saw one open, I grabbed it and went to copy it. When I was able to copy it to the first child, I went back to copy it to the NEXT one who it might be important to. After the 3rd, I got a funky time for the 4th...so I gave my dh and ds fp to Haunted Mansion. They probably don't need them, but it was the only thing that ds really wanted to ride...that no one else did! I would have loved for dh to have been able to see our dd(3) experience this, and I might still try to find passes for him, but this is a great plan if we can't.

But if I try to reserve those I get an error message saying it can't be done because of system challenges. If I try to book any other three FP it works fine. If anyone else is looking for these FP on those dates maybe it will work for you. Good luck!

The next night I decided to try the same, kept refreshing on the date I preferred and lo and behold, another opened! And I was able to copy it to my daughter too, so now we'll both be able to get in to see them since she's only 4. Btw, they both opened up at about 10pm ET on both nights for me.

Thanks for all the tips! We are there 5/1-5/6 but only 3 park days. I have been trying forever to book A&E. I had no idea you could copy when i saw it available weeks ago under my sisters AP on MDE. I wish I would have known and booked it and tried copying 6 days later when our EEC discounted tickets arrived! I try all times of the day but no luck yet! 20 days to go!

Carefully double check when you copy them over! Mine looked successful but later moved DH and DS to Meet Mickey with no warning. Today I tried again and at least it actually SAID something like "that attraction is no longer available, here's a close second..." (obviously not exact phrasing) and suggested Mickey. I declined and canceled out.

Regarding the moving of someone under 7, when I try to move DS(5)'s FP+ to try for A&E to overlap with mine, I get this message:

To experience our Theme Park attractions, Guests under the age of 7 must be accompanied by another Guest 14 years old or greater.
Select All

and I can't proceed unless I also click on DH. I'd hoped that maybe I could just get his to overlap with mine so we could go together (with DD under 3) but so far no luck. If I'm able to move DH's I will do that and then would just switch their bands before the M&G if need be.
