Anna & Elsa

I am sorry but if the rule is you cannot book a FP for someone under a certain age and the system knows how old everyone is, then why did it allow me to do so?

Having said that, I have been 100 times and I am going to copy over right now, because it's letting me and available.

Thanks everyone!

I wish I could play around with the fpp system prior to 60 days out. I keep reading out copying, etc. and it while I understand the suggestion, I'm confused about the logistics. I just hate to get in there at 60 days when it's important to get it done quickly and not know what I'm doing!

I wished the same a few days ago and someone pointed me on this direction:

I am glad that you were able to copy for yourself! I know that I would be terribly stressed, walking up to that FP line and wondering if my poor kiddos would be turned away from the very thing they couldn't wait for. SO glad you were able to get yours!

Now...wishful thinking for mine. lol

My fp+ opened up today and I couldn't book the family to meetanna and Elsa... I was able to book it if I set up the fast passes separate...we were all able to have ties lots that overlapped. Thanks for all the tips, not sure i would have figured this out myself.

If staying on property, do the FP+ reservations work the same as dining? In other words, can I book A&E for really late in my trip, say 70 days out, giving me a better shot?

FF+ for onsite guests currently opens at 60 days out and offsite at 30 days out (subject to change at any time)

I know, but you can make FP+ for your entire length of stay can't you, in essence obtaining FP's for more than 60 days out?

Ahh...I understand. I heard you can only do 7 days at a time so in essence 60+7 (then can't book day 8 until you have used day 1) but maybe someone else who has done it knows for sure?

At what age can a child enter a M&G alone? My oldest will be 7 on our trip. If we can't all get in together, I'm hoping I can at least book her and then worry about getting my younger daughter in with an adult.

My fp kept track won't let me select dd by herself.

Yeah, I couldn't put my DD on there by herself, luckily some FP's opened up this morning for our trip in May, and I was able to get her and myself a FP that overlapped times. I'm going to try and get my wife one too at some point. We won't be in pictures, but I'd like for both of us to be able to see my DD's face light up when she gets to stand with A&E.

When is your trip?

I had just been told that even though the FP+ were gone, keep checking often, in case something opens up. So since that is the "ultimate" FP right now, until 7DMT comes out, I took it, and cancelled my Epcot FP day and will structure my trip around the A&E experience.

May be lame, but that's the one thing my DD wants to see most of all. Don't get me wrong, I have a blast at Disney, but this is my DD's vacation :rotfl2:

Our 60-day window opened up last week. I was only able to make FP+ selections for one person for A&E. So I made a FP for myself (at 12:25), then went back to the main FP page. When I selected that day, it gave me a list of options: Select/Replace, Change, Copy, Cancel. So I copied that FP to one of my daughters (it gave her an alternate overlapping time of 12:30).

I then went through the process again for my other daughter and my husband. It was time consuming but not tough to do. We all got staggered times--my husband's window opens at 12:45--but they're not so variable that it should cause problems.

This is absolutely ridiculous. If I go into the site at 60 days out and do not have the ability to get a FP+ for A&E, I will cancel my trip. Period. How in the world can it fill up when I go in 60 days out? Is there that many people going in from 67-61 days out that they get all the FP+ for A&E? If so, then Disney will have to do something to fix that in the next couple weeks. My trip is 6/22-6/28 and I am looking for FP+ for A&E on 6/22 early evening.

The (supposed) main advantage of staying on site with this new FP+ process is that you have 60 days as opposed to 30 days or day of. If I can't go into the site as early as possible (midnight of the 60th day before my trip) and guarantee myself FP+ for myself, wife, and 6 year old, then what is the point?

Not sure why adults need FP to meet the characters? I get the rides but meet and greets, no, unless they are meeting and taking time for photo op.

I imagine all the computed wait times for fast passes that calculate how many they can provide in an hour or in a day are made with the assumption that the adults will also take the time to meet with the characters and have photos made. If they assumed a family of four would only need time for two children, then when t he adults took time to have pictures made, that would throw off their estimates. By estimating all fast pass holders will consume the same average amount of time, they could see the line move a little faster if not everyone actually participates.

Even with no small children, my family does a lot of meet and greets, as we enjoy meeting all the characters, but we only have one or two pictures made and move on. We DON'T do this: "Mom stands on the right of Pooh, and now on the left of Pooh. Now DD joins and stands on the left of Pooh with Mom on the right. Now they switch places for more photos. Now Dad joins, and they take several poses on various sides of Pooh, first Mom and Dad on left, then Mom and DD on left, etc..... Then Dad and DD each have to have several shots made with Pooh by themselves."

I've also seen parents who really didn't intend to get into the pictures, but were encouraged to at the last minute, so they handed over their camera to a CM and joined the picture. I think the safe assumption for the most effecient line time management is that everyone who gets in the line represents a potential photo op.

We have been behind families like this before. It's a fun time. :) We are not always a quick as we could be but try to be prepared, have the kids ready, etc.

And I agree that is likely why a fpp is required for everyone. Adults may not intend to jump in the picture but often they do. :)
