We'll be there in August to help 2 young ladies celebrate their 26th bdays :cool1:

Reading the Dis Board/WDW threads the Anna & Elsa meet and great is a source of much drama, planning and stress.

How is it at Disneyland? Seems like it's less hectic.

I peeked in last time and they were adorable. Huge line, etc. but manageable. I'm sure our gals will wait in a line but not a 2 hour line!

Just curious and appreciate feedback.

Hello, everything that I have seen or read so far has reported at least a 1.5+ hour line up, I think I read one report of 4+ hours.

I know that I don't plan on telling my girls (and my niece) anything about Elsa and Anna appearances until the hype dies down as I know they wouldn't be able to tolerate that long of a line.

Last Sunday, the line was two hours. It was the longest line in the park. I think Space Mountain was only 30 minutes.

There are some things that make me really appreciate having all boys. We get to skip the insanely long M&G lines! My boys probably wouldn't mind seeing them from a distance, but have no desire to wait in the lines. On the other hand, my sister has all girls. One of them is named Elsa! When she was born I had never heard the name before. That has sure changed! Anyway, when my sister went to DL a few months ago, she had to explain to her daughter that they could wait in the line, but they would miss out on everything that the rest of the family was doing for a couple hours. They only had two days at the parks so 2 hours meant a lot. It was a hard choice for a little girl! Luckily a cast member overheard that her name was Elsa, led her to the back door, and let her wave at Elsa. She didn't get to officially meet her or take a picture, but a quick wave saved the day. I think my sister may have shed a tear or two.

The lines had been between 90-120 minutes before Spring Break Season but recently they have gotten up to 4.5 hours (the longest I saw) but the movie also recently came out to DVD so hopefully by late summer it will be back down to the "shorter" times. I wouldn't expect it to be under an hour for some time still. Rapunzel would get up to an hour before she got moved, and that was a couple of years after her movie came out

Will they allow one member of your party to stand in line, while the kids do other things?

Are A&E available during EMH? Our next trip isn't until September, so hopefully the mania will subside, but it would help if they are available before general park opening.

No. They generally are not there till 9 unless something has changed in the last month

We were there on monday, and in the afternoon, the wait was 3.5 hours. The kids just wanted to see them, so we stood at the exit and took a quick look at them when someone was exiting. They looked so cute!

We were in Disneyland today. My son and I entered at 8am, and were lined up and ready to go with the masses during the EMH. We went immediately to the Frozen meet and greet. We were probably the 20th group in line and it took about 2.5 hours to get thru. They didn't even open til 9:15. When we came out the cast member mentioned that the end of the line's wait time was estimated at 6 hours.

I have to agree with you--lol! Having boys that could care less about any of the characters, really. they just want to ride the rides! I remember when my son was 5 and I asked if he wanted to go have his pic taken with one of the characters. He said, " But, mom, it's just some guy in a costume!" I had to laugh!

My DS likes Frozen, but I'm glad he won't want to wait in line to meet Anna and Elsa. Don't get me wrong, if he wanted to we'd make it happen, but since he's 2 1/2 he's more worried about Mickey, Donald, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates! As much as I've always wanted a little princess, I'm glad that my little prince won't have us waiting in that line! Best of luck to all the parents who will be braving the line!

Wow, I didn't know it was that long. When we were there in February, we totally lucked out. We had a late lunch at the restaurant right behind it (Pinnochios - I think?) And as we were walking out both Anna and Elsa were going on break so we nearly ran right into them. DD(11) was totally content with saying hi and seeing them walk by with a little pause. They did look awesome.:cool1:

6 hours oh my goodness. I want to see them in nov, but not 6 hours bad enough dang i may have to skip it.

That's really funny. When we were at WDW we planned to line up at opening for Epcot so dd could meet E&G. I assumed that dh would drop her by close to our time so she could go meet them, and dh would take the boys on rides or whatever. When I mentioned this both of my boys (6 and 9) said they wanted to meet them too! So they all did. But I was surprised they cared at all...

I absolutely love this!

It is so wonderful when you see a CM go above and beyond to make magic---which probably wouldn't have happened, if they hadn't been listening/paying attention!

I'l bet your Sis was so grateful(totally understand the tears), and I'm so thrilled for your little niece!:)

Just went to DLR today, park opened at 9 (don't know if there were EMH) but by 10:00 the line was approx 5 hours wait winding all the way to the bathrooms as you head toward Frontierland. We did this M&G at super bowl Sunday and it was nowhere this crazy.

Are they viewable anywhere in DL without waiting to meet them?

I don't care about meeting them and I've seen pictures online but with all the hype I think it'd be fun to see them, a quick glimpse of them in a parade like at WDW or a peak through a window would be enough to satisfy my curiosity.
