Anna + Elsa, EMH and early breakfast question

Next month we have an 8:20 a.m. Crystal Palace reservation on an EMH morning when the park opens at 8. I had the idea of trying to enter the park at 7:50 (the earliest we can get in, right?) and heading straight to line up for Anna and Elsa, and hoping to get back to CP by 8:20.

Is this even remotely conceivable or just crazy talk? Thanks.

I'd say its a bit crazy. Depending on the day and the CMs they may not even let you in early since you ADR is for after opening. And if you do get in, everything would need to fall perfectly in line in order for you to get there, be one of the first people in, be out quickly, and back to CP before your ADR time. Not saying it can't happen, but I wouldn't count on it.

It might be cutting it pretty close. I had reservations at a place but was trying to get on a ride first. What we did was run to the restaurant to tell them we are here but are running to the ride really quick. They were ok with it. If you want to try that they might be ok with it. I'm sure it does depend on the crowd also. It's worth a shot though. It could work out in your favor =)

If you don't care if you are late for CP, it might work. As PP said, they might not let you in early as your ADR is at 8:20. If they don't, you will be in the RD line just like everyone else. If they do, great. You can head back, but the CM's aren't going to let you line up for A&E until RD. You can't just get in line for A&E prior to park opening. If you are one of the first in line, you may still have a 10 - 20 minute wait, then actually meeting them and walking all the way back to CP. I can almost guarantee you won't make it to CP by 8:20 am.

Your better bet is to try to get a pre-opening breakfast at BOG if possible. Be done with breakfast prior to 8 am and go outside to wait for RD.

I don't want to hijack but I have to ask: how bad is the line for A&E at rope drop?

I'm expecting it to be somewhat unpleasant but not regular hours length - am I deluding myself?

Thank you all for your feedback and ideas! Figured it was a longshot. We weren't able to get a FP+ and I just don't want to sacrifice 2 hours of our limited parks time to waiting in line! Fortunately my daughter is 12 and understands, although it is a bummer.
