Hello. We are leaving for Disney World on Saturday and thus far, I have been unable to secure our fast passes for Anna & Elsa. So I'm thinking my next best option to see them would be to make that our first priorioty for rope drop. Since we are staying on site, am I correct in assuming that a rope drop on an EMH day would be a little better than a rope drop on a normal day? My thinking is that there will be slightly fewer people on an EMH day.

For those of you who have done this, any suggestions on which side of the "crowd" to be on? Any advice you can give me would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Kim

Yup, fewer will be at the park at the beginning of AM EMH than at any other time that day.

If there is a single overriding truism of WDW, it would be...
"It's better to time your arrival for FAR too early, than it is to arrive one minute too late."

Keep watching it! We scored one when we were in the park that day to see them.

Rope drop and during the parade/Wishes are the best two times to go :)

I will be there around the same time as you and just found 4 for 12/11. Keep looking!!! Try scheduling one at a time and get the times to overlap. That is what I started doing and then eventually found 4 all for the same time.

There are 7 of us, but only 4 really need FP for Anna and Elsa. If the other 3 didn't get them, it would be fine. As of right now, I have 3 fast passes for other attractions set up for all 7 of us. In order to try to get one fast pass at a time, do I need to let go of one of the fast passes for all 7 of us that I have already secured? Because right now, if I go into the fast pass icreen, I pick one of the 3 fast passes and choose to modify that one attaction. But when I do that, I think I have to modify it for all 7 of us and not look for one at a time. Is there any easy way to do this?

Thanks!!!

Kim,
We are here now and we at m.k. yesterday. We werror walking thru the park around 2 and the wait time was only 35 minutes. I know this is very rare but I wanted to paas this thought along. We were here last year the same week and went to mk on days of the Christmas party and noticed the crowds were the lightest of the week. So, if you have a hopper it might be an option to check out wait times on the days of the party to hop on over. The crowds stated to pick up around 4 when people started to enter for the party.

We do have park hoppers and if I don't get lucky on the FP, I WILL watch the wait times. Although I know it doesn't mean anything for next week, I'm happy to hear that the crowds are manageable! I hope it stays that way.

Thanks for your help.

There is no easy way...select one person...see if there is a pass available...if so go back and click another person...see if there are 2 and then book it...if there is only one...go ahead and book it. The main thing is that if you have children...you need to make sure there is one adult to go with them. I would look at all times of day and usually it was completely random...right now I know there is at least one for December 7 at 3:50...I just checked. Be patient and check frequently. If I can help in any way let me know!!!

Mission accomplished for us. Rope drop during EMH; entered the park via right tunnel staying right at the edge of the crowd on the left so we could still see the opening "show"; going down walkway close to the Castle toward the Cheshire Cafe and we were 9th in line. :yay: DD had DGD with her and I followed as close as possible with only 1 family entering the queue while they waited for me. (I was pretty proud of myself for keeping up! :rotfl:) There was a good crowd there already when we arrived via the walkway from the CR but after bag check we just inched our way toward the tunnel without a problem. Good luck! :thumbsup2 :tink:

I'm so happy to hear that your strategy worked. Right now, I'm still looking for fast passes. But, if that doesn't work, I will defintley be doing exactly what you did.

Thank you!
