Hiya All

Well I have been reading everybody else's journals and decided to do one for me and Chris, I havn't done this before so bare with me ok.

Firstly Chris and I have been together coming up five years, and we moved in to our first home this last March. Would you believe we met online lol. Now I am a very Disney person, while Chris is very much borderline. Chris propsed this Christmas just past on bended knee and everything!! I nearly dropped off my chair. And it didnt take long to decide on a Disney wedding seen as though it was what I had always dreamed of. So onto the wedding details

Our weddings booked for the 28th January 2008 at 2.30pm at the Wedding Pavillion, followed by a reception at the Living Seas in Epcot and then a dessert party at the lower terrace at the UK pavillion in epcot. This has taken major planning lol as we had no clue how to go about doing this!! and our wedding planner Michelle has been a great help along with her assistants Emily and Jessica. Now seen as though we are from the UK it takes alot of planning to get all the guests there lol, and what we thought would be a small wedding has turned into 30 guests.

For food we have gone with a buffet style with lots of different stations, which I cant wait for!! especially the italian station. We decided against a sit down meal because there are six kids attending and its so much easier for them to get to pick their own food. We've also booked the Disney DJ for the reception. Pur table linen colors are borduex and ivory, to go with my dress which I will get onto later. We decided against dressing the chairs as we could imagine our 2 year old niece undressing them lol. We think we have the majority of the meal sorted, just need to clarify whatdrinks packages we want.

For the actual wedding ceremony itself we have booked Kevin Knox as officiant, though we have not had much contact regarding what he will do as yet, which come to think of it I should really e mail him. We havn't even sorted the music yet lol, so this isn't a very planned ceremony yet!

I will do some more updating this afternoon as I have to run out now, I hope I have made a good start

Anna

SOunds grat, we too are in the same boat thinkgin it will be a small wedding and its now 30!! Be good to see your budget once its all done if you dont mind shareing! Are you looking to just spend the 10k min?

Cant wait for pics of dress etc

It must be lucky I think and we are all getting married in 2008!!

Back again

So heres some more

For transport we have booked limos, I would have loved the coach but I wouldnt pay that much for such little time, I would want it all day for that price lol. Oh and also booked the motor coach for guests to get around.

We have SIX bridesmaids, mainly because I have 5 neices, plus Chris's brother girlfriend. Between the six they are wearing 4 different styles of dress, becuase of their age ranges. The dresses are in ivory and bordeux, sorry I dont have any pictures but they are being made. They've all got tiaras to wear and we have bought them matching jewelry. My dress is a fairy tale style lol lots of tuelle, which I never thought I would wear, its ivory all over with bordues little leaves on the top half with a borduex trim, yet again no pic as its being made. I love the dress, I had initially picked anoth dress but when I saw this I fell in love with it.

I have loads of sorting to do, I am half way through buying thank you gifts for the bridesmaid, two of them have large Disney snowglobes as gifts, two have gift baskets from the Disney florist, one has a large collectable ornament shir horse. Which leaves me a few to buy. My 16 year old nephew is going to be an usher, but I have no clue what to buy him.

Orangetiggs my rough beo came to $19000, not including photographer, hair and make up, flowers or officiant. But it does include Disney doing the video, the wp, the reception, food, dessert party and drinks. We havnt had the official price down yet, though my dad has paid $12000 already into the wedding account. I am finding communication with Disney very low right now.

We have booked Randy chapman as photographer, Whimsical Wey for flowers including my bouquet and Anna from make over majic for hair and make up.

Chris and I are staying at the Grand Floridian for the two weeks that we are in wdw, with our guests staying there the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding to make up the room block numbers.

YAY so glad you started a PJ!!!

Sounds like you ahve made great choices so far!! Randy is amazing! I loved him!! he was so easy to work with!

Annas a real sweetie too, she was great to work with and knew exactly what to do with my hair (my hair gets a bit crazy in florida but it stayed perfect for most of the day!)

We had the motorcoach too, it worked really well for all our guests as no one had to worry about getting anywhere and culd relax and have a drink! It also dropped our guests back off at their villas in kissimee after the wedding!

Cant wait to hear more about your plans!!

*update*

well I thought it was time to do an update!

we have just got back from a week in Florida and got some things done while we were there.

We have changed florists and are now using Rose at Disney florist, she's a star and really got us out of a tight spot. We have arranged my flowers, which are mainly white with hints of red and green. the bridesmaids are now having the flower wands which I love, with three roses on each. the little flower girl is having wrist flowers so we don't have to worry about her carrying it. Plus she is having one of the flower baskets from the mickey collection (lovely ivory covered basket with mickey shaped jewels over it). Trough rose I have also arranged the wedding guest pen lol, my drawstring bag, ring pillow all the the mickey design. Mens button holes, are also sorted.

I am well on my way with my welcome boxes, for the guests to receive at the
pre wedding dinner the night before the wedding. I have seen some lovely sweets etc to go in which I will buy in January from Disney world. I didnt see the point to buying hem last week to just fetch them to the UK to take them back.

We have also decided to use Disney florist for all the gift baskets for the wedding. so thats about twelve that I need to decide on.

and finally I bought the wedding music cd from the grand floridian and we are working on our songs!!

hope you enjoyed the update, I am four months away now!!!
